I'm not willing to slather on a basic, heneh0e-like outfit just to get some recognition out of a small contest hosted by a handful of "judges" (who probably knows little about fashion or visual arts) in a small forum. Doing so would go exactly against what I stand for as someone who has studied and got involved in the arts their whole life, also because I still have my dignity. If some so-called judges want to declare people sporting non-unique, incomplete outfits as winners, then that's the outcome they've decided on, but I refuse to agree and call that fashion because what's fashionable is not decided by cross-dressing, furry weeaboos. I was just about to make a new thread about this issue. I play both MapleStory and Mabinogi, and I almost always have both games running at the same time (to multitask and for events where you have to stay logged in to get rewards). I had no choice but to install Steam today, and use it in conjunction with Nexon Launcher in order to play the 2 games the way I've always been playing them for years. I wish I could use solely Nexon Launcher or use solely Steam, but I can't because Nexon Launcher doesn't allow running more than 1 game now, and Steam can't run games tied to different Nexon IDs at the same time. Now I need to have 2 different game launchers open to play 2 different Nexon games... It's my fault for making 2 different Nexon IDs for 2 different Nexon games years ago, but that was when I made bad decisions as a dumb, impulsive teenager.
Edit: So, I contacted Live Chat and this is the response I got...
GM Zeistugeist: Apologies if it took some time for me to chat back! You are correct that one can no longer launch 2 games at the same time using Nexon Launcher.
Me: What can I do about not being about to play 2 Nexon games at the same time now?
GM Zeistugeist: As a player myself, I do understand what you mean. Unfortunately, there's currently no other way to play two games in one launcher like before. We do apologize if this has caused you inconvenience.
Me: Thank you for your response, but I hope you would reconsider the change. There was no problem with running more than 1 Nexon game before the recent Nexon Launcher update. If I did not own separate Nexon accounts, I would be fine with making a complete switch to the Steam launcher. Other players are also dissatisfied with this change, here is a forums thread: (I linked this thread).
GM Zeistugeist: That's understandable. However, I do appreciate you voicing out your thoughts regarding this. Whether or not this will remain or be changed, is something I can't answer yet but please, feel free to voice out your feedback on the official forums. Our game teams will appreciate it! Thank you though for trying to understand.
Me: I will keep checking on the forums. Thank you for your time.
Before my Battle Mage became my main, I actually main'd Night Walker and then moved on to main Bishop because Cygnus Knights used to be locked at Lv. 120.
Before my Bishop was a Bishop, I enjoyed training at the Haunted House as a Cleric/Priest because it was such a breeze, I blew by many levels in a few hours. Holy skills are very effective on undead monsters, and all I needed to bring was a Jr. Boogie familiar, no potions were needed.
I had some interest in Battle Mage while I was a Bishop main, I created one and played on it once in a while. It was exactly the job that I was looking for: it was a Magician but has some traits of a Warrior, but I was reluctant to make the switch because I already made a lot of progress on my Bishop. It was that one fateful day that I decided to buy Royal Coupons on my Battle Mage that I was completely won over. I got Odd Eyes in 2 coupons, and Lively Waved in 3 coupons. I wanted those styles SO badly on my Bishop, but I didn't get any of them on my Bishop prior to trying on my Battle Mage (and I used a lot more coupons on my Bishop too...).
I love playing as a Battle Mage because:
- auras, having many useful boosts, being able to switch to any aura that works best in a situation
- tankiness, having a huge pool of HP, being able of take a LOTS of damage
- survivability, rarely requiring the use of potions, only ever needing them when bossing
- stance, being able of resist all knockback from monsters and bosses
- variety, not standing in one spot spamming one skill, being required to dash around the map using many skills to maximize damage
- well-rounded, capable of dealing good damage and completing most game content with some funding
- 2 for 1 deal, you want magical skills but also want to attack in the frontlines like a warrior?
I got the hair on my second try. I know someone who got it in one.
It all comes down to luck as royals can be quite a nuisance sometimes. My limit was 10k NX this time and I refused to spend anymore than that, so maybe next time set a limit and if you don't get it within that budget, just look the other way. Best to start off very low. You'll feel a little better than buying more nx on impulse. I find that my luck stems from ch13. Usually I get the hairs I want in 1-2 tries there.
Anyway, treated myself to a red colour lens with the extra nx left too.
But honestly, I'm really sorry to hear that you didn't get it.
Gratz!!
Yeah, I agree. I either spend 10K NX or less, or it takes me up to 50K NX or more to get a certain style, there's rarely any in-between. Last time around, I got Asuka Hair in 2 coupons, but this time Rei took me 15. I never buy All Star Coupons anymore (the coupons that have 9 or more styles) because I have terrible luck with them (it usually costs me $100+ aiming for a specific hairstyle -shiver-).
I generally avoid anything to do with RNG in this game i.e Premium Surprise Boxes, Gachapon, Marvel etc. If it's sold for a really high price in AH, so be it.
It would of been better if they just went with Hair Coupons like the SAO event. I wouldn't even mind if they were 10k for one because at least the guarantee of getting it is there.
Same here, I avoid buying those too. I buy a few PSSBs once in a long while, only if I really like the items in rotation. Otherwise, I bought most of my NX items from other players in FM/AH using mesos. Yeah, I liked the SAO (and the AoT) crossovers the best because all the NX items could be purchased directly. The individual items cost more than 1 PSSB box, but I gladly paid for them and even bought multiple sets.
