  • SUPERIOR GOLLUX EQUIPS ON REBOOT

At the end of the day, where is Nexon's reply in all this? To be honest, non-Reboots aside, Reboot server is in desperate need of an answer.\

Some sort of a way to restock on Gollux Equips other then relying on 5%? drop rate? I don't even know if those equips are on the drop table of most difficult Gollux.

This is not a problem in KMS since they don't have Gollux all together. Is that why Global Nexon can't say anything? Because KMS can't do anything?

Permanent bans are sometimes overturned, either because Nexon realizes they were unjustified or because of a "second chance" event.

Additionally, when last we had a name-clearing event, Nexon said that names in banned accounts will not be released. The reason was that they don't want players to take IGNs of famous hackers or cheaters, intentionally or not, and acquire an unearned reputation.

All of which I completely understand and knew already, however, personally I don't agree. I've played MapleStory for years and I've never met or heard of a "famous" hacker or cheater, and even if well known within the World the name dies out after a few months and nobody remembers them anyways. Also I felt I should put my thoughts out there as a suggestion to change the rule. If the thread gets lots of views and people agree with my stance, Nexon may change this, if people don't agree, no problem.

Well, I can see you're new here...

  • No arcane symbol in the retro shop

oh so i have to finish the whole vanishing journey quest in order to buy from the shop?

Yep. You can only see symbols that you've already cleared the quests to receive. In my case, I would see vanishing journey, chuchu, lachelein and arcana symbols, but not morass or esfera symbols.

I figured I would ask, since you said you're 203 and that's a level that's easily gotten to without doing any arcane river stuff. So go back, finish the quest line for the area, ask for help if you need to(and you're on reboot, so you'll probably have to), finish it out and get your symbol. This'll let you buy that symbol from the coin shop, as well as begin your descent into daily hell.

You do have the vanishing journey arcane symbol already, right? Symbols in event shops such as this will not show up if you haven't completed the requisite quests to obtain the symbol in the first place.

Unless somebody else enters the map, then it respawns as soon as they enter.

Not as far as I've seen? If this does happen, and I don't think it does, it was killed far too quickly for it to matter in my experience.

It does happen, however like you said it doesn't really matter. Unless you're AFK, which was the point of the mob in the first place.
Which is probably why it has the behavior.

Because someone who just walked (or cc'ed or teleported) into the map might be AFK?

The anti-AFK mobs' "point" is served by their spawning every 5 minutes while someone is in the map. Their spawning the instant someone comes into the map only serves to kill people lagging on log-in (or stuck with popup windows slowing them down) and low-AF characters trying to complete the story quests. It has nothing to do with fighting AFK'ers.

The only reason they even exist is because of a Korean mindset of squatting in maps to claim them. That has never existed in gms so these thrice-damned things have never had a purpose outside of killing people for no reason. You can't even get up to pee or grab food/drink without worrying about coming back to a tombstone, floating ghost and one of those little bastards bouncing around you.

And before anyone else interjects, no it is absolutely not reasonable to tell someone "oh just go back to town if you have to afk". Why should I, or anyone else, have to go from below the cave back to nameless town and back again because of needing food, or water, or a quick trip to the toilet? That's absurd. This whole damned thing is absurd and these things should have never been added in the first place.
