Why are mass permanent bans handed out so easily? While it can be community mantra to push for permanent bans, I think they should be rarely given out. I think long temporary bans are … (more)effective enough at sending a message to individual players. It appears that the current usage of permanent bans do not address the problem. They are the easy way out instead of rolling back potential illicit gains. Think of it this way. True abusers are not affected as strongly by a permanent ban than a player who has invested time and money in the game.
