Can you really call them experts? I'd suggest you call them amateurs. Players always saying "coding is hard," and "It's hard to see what's wrong." Honestly, I've mentioned countless times that it's their job to do so. This kind of extension has been occurred countless amount of times and it brought us to the point that we become impatient. There are way better coders out there in the world who can actually be considered as experts. You say game is dying because we blame them for problems, but it's in their end for failing to serve players. So yes, Nexon is the reason that players leave Maplestory. We blame them for problems since it relates to them being irresponsible for being unable to solve such tasks. There are solutions out there, but they don't care enough to look into it.
I've mentioned to multiple people also that even the best programmers have issues finding all the bugs in coding, and MapleStory is a huge game. The documents that contain the coding itself also need to tell the game when to put in different effects, backdrops, character models, etc. And anyone saying that they don't have any problem with coding is full of crap, because it really takes a lot of effort sometimes just to make a simple application run
Even bigger games with bigger updates don't have extensions as often as GMS does. You should stop speaking in such way that programmers are same, they're not. Why do you think game such as OW and LoL don't have extended maintenance as often as GMS does? It's simple, they're better.

Nexon America needs staff changes pronto. There are people at Nexon that either can't do their job properly or have little to no knowledge of what they're doing. I'm not saying I'm any better, and they're probably a whole heck of a lot better than I will ever be at something like that but at least hire some professionals who know what they're doing. Especially with a big name like "Nexon", you shouldn't be screwing up this often with every patch/maintenance. Take a look at Nexon Korea... Rarely, if not ever, do they ever have extended maintenance that goes on for this long. Nexon's quality of service is what killed the player base and we need a change to make Nexon a big name for gaming like it is in Korea instead of the laughing stock it is now. Should be ashamed of yourself staff at Nexon of America for letting this go on for so long.
They are experts at their job. It isn't the staff's fault. Code breaks from time to time are regular for programmers and it's ghastly having to go through the code again and find specifically what things are broken. And the player base is not being killed by Nexon, it is killing itself for constantly blaming them for problems

"Maintenance for MapleStory has been extended until further notice."

Just a normal day in Nexon, nothing much to see here. Better go sleep now and wake up to see that message still up.

[UPDATE - 6:40 AM] During testing of the patch, an issue was discovered that needs to be corrected. Unfortunately, this will require a delay of several hours, and we'll provide a more specific ETA and more information as we correct this issue.

Thank you Maplers once again for your continued patience and understanding throughout this Unscheduled Maintenance.
    its oke <3
keep with a good work hope all bugs/erros gets ironed and be smooth af </blockquote>

Your as annoyed as everyone stop pretending you aint, you wont get free stuff for brown nosing

    dude shame on you ...
instead of being patient you decide to flame on people that work hard just for us to make it as much as posb better
if you are that "strong" showeing so much power why dont give them tip on how to fix? whats wrong ? you can open files and deep search aswell evryone can help in some way but
the things you say and do wont help

half of the blame its in the community that makes nexon work under pressure and its sad that nexon lisent to you and rush to open the game just to calm you ..
They wouldn't have to work under pressure if they would stop lying by extending the damn maintenance with 2 hours EVERY 2 HOURS. Just let it simple "maintenance for the next 48 hours" GG. Would that be hard?
Instead they choose to post 5 minutes before the deadline and say that it will take another 2 hours. 3 times in a row. You can't possible protect them for doing this.
It's not called lying when new bugs keep popping up and you have to spend extra time to fix them. You can't blame them if they don't want to keep extending the maintenance by holding off until the last minute to let people know, because what if they manage to fix it in time? Everyone complaining really needs to get a taste of what it means to be a programmer and software engineer. Unless you've sat down and pulled an all-nighter trying to debug a program, only to find a bunch of new bugs, and STILL think you can do a better job, then you have no right to flame anyone who probably spent all night trying to bring this game up for your impatient selves to play. No Maplestory for a single day isn't going to be the end of your life.

Alright! Let me reply to your non-sense post. You're saying we cannot blame them for leaving it to the last minute. Are you new or do you not know how they usually handle this kind of situations? I've mentioned in the other thread that the most recent news they have posted after they went back into maintenance was 3~4 hours later. Sure, if they post news and let us know right after then we wouldn't be saying as much. We aren't mad just because they keep extending over and over, it's also because they lack communication with players. I've seen so many people saying "you don't know what it's like to be a programmer." But really, you cannot compare them to us considering it's their profession as a programmer. None of us said we can do better job at doing these, but it is required for them to do it since they are paid to do so. Of course we're impatient at this point. As you know, this isn't first time they've done this and we know that this will continue in the future. You want to put possibilities into this situation saying "what if they finish in time?" The funny thing is, we know they can't.
