Can you just stop posting about information that we don't care about anymore? Probably will save good amount of time. You also just said GMS needs "advice" from KMS to fix the issues, so you just countered your own argument. Stop here, it's about to become pathetic.Coding is only partially remembering how past mistakes were fixed and then correcting them, but it's not always as easy as doing the same thing that has been done before. Anyone who codes also has to make sure that the code works similarly across most operating systems, with everyone having desktops or laptops, differences in graphics cards, anyone who uses special hardware/software for handicaps, etc. Technology constantly upgrades and current games need to keep up. Also like other people have said, there needs to be communication with Nexon Korea to keep them up to date and to get advice on what could possibly be done to fix the issues
That's where you are wrong. It is the staffs fault. They've had plenty of time, if not weeks, to test the content before they were going to release it. They've had plenty of time to prepare proper servers for the mess of players that were going to come back for one of the biggest updates of MapleStory's career. I'll give you that code does break from time to time without reason and is definitely a mess when it comes to finding out the problem but remind you... they do this every single patch that comes out. Maybe one or two they've been good on but they shouldn't be screwing up every patch. Do you know why experts are called experts? They have significant knowledge of their field and know so much about it. There are time for mistakes and to learn from them but it seems like in this case they are not learning from their mistakes. Things are not being tested as thoroughly as they should be. Nexon needs to know that they're doing something wrong because if everyone keeps telling them it's "okay", this will just keep repeating over and over again because they know the player base will be cool with it. They lack the costumer service and communication they used to have.
Did you really think the meaning of communication is literally talking to us? The meaning of communication here is. . . Them providing us information at rightful time rather than making players wait for hours without any notification. Nexon doesn't need to post on forums to tell us about it, they could just post it on the website or just make a thread LOCKED. What you mean they can't communicate? It's more like they don't care enough to.there is my point ... provenAlright! Let me reply to your non-sense post. You're saying we cannot blame them for leaving it to the last minute. Are you new or do you not know how they usually handle this kind of situations? I've mentioned in the other thread that the most recent news they have posted after they went back into maintenance was 3~4 hours later. Sure, if they post news and let us know right after then we wouldn't be saying as much. We aren't mad just because they keep extending over and over, it's also because they lack communication with players. I've seen so many people saying "you don't know what it's like to be a programmer." But really, you cannot compare them to us considering it's their profession as a programmer. None of us said we can do better job at doing these, but it is required for them to do it since they are paid to do so. Of course we're impatient at this point. As you know, this isn't first time they've done this and we know that this will continue in the future. You want to put possibilities into this situation saying "what if they finish in time?" The funny thing is, we know they can't.It's not called lying when new bugs keep popping up and you have to spend extra time to fix them. You can't blame them if they don't want to keep extending the maintenance by holding off until the last minute to let people know, because what if they manage to fix it in time? Everyone complaining really needs to get a taste of what it means to be a programmer and software engineer. Unless you've sat down and pulled an all-nighter trying to debug a program, only to find a bunch of new bugs, and STILL think you can do a better job, then you have no right to flame anyone who probably spent all night trying to bring this game up for your impatient selves to play. No Maplestory for a single day isn't going to be the end of your life. They wouldn't have to work under pressure if they would stop lying by extending the damn maintenance with 2 hours EVERY 2 HOURS. Just let it simple "maintenance for the next 48 hours" GG. Would that be hard?dude shame on you ...[UPDATE - 6:40 AM] During testing of the patch, an issue was discovered that needs to be corrected. Unfortunately, this will require a delay of several hours, and we'll provide a more specific ETA and more information as we correct this issue.its oke
Thank you Maplers once again for your continued patience and understanding throughout this Unscheduled Maintenance.
keep with a good work hope all bugs/erros gets ironed and be smooth af </blockquote>
Your as annoyed as everyone stop pretending you aint, you wont get free stuff for brown nosing
instead of being patient you decide to flame on people that work hard just for us to make it as much as posb better
if you are that "strong" showeing so much power why dont give them tip on how to fix? whats wrong ? you can open files and deep search aswell evryone can help in some way but
the things you say and do wont help
half of the blame its in the community that makes nexon work under pressure and its sad that nexon lisent to you and rush to open the game just to calm you ..
Instead they choose to post 5 minutes before the deadline and say that it will take another 2 hours. 3 times in a row. You can't possible protect them for doing this.
they luck of communication with players yea right because they CANT when most of the players JOKES and acts SILY towards them with spaming post
