hackers and botters will always find a way around any security set in place. i have played MMORPG's that cost money, i would still get … (more)messages advertising illicit activity's like selling in game currency for real money and such. heck they may even go as far as hacking other peoples accounts to advertise for all i know.
there is an old saying to keep in mind; "Where there's a will, there's a way." that goes double when money can be made. hackers, cheaters, and botters really ruin games, but there is no real magic bullet to stop them 100%. Nexon will do what it can to stop them, but there is only so much they can do at one time. (less)
a single GM is no where near enough to cover the entire game world over 20 Channels, and they wont really be able to do much about all the hackers and botters anyway. i have once seen … (more)Nexon do Mass bans and it filled the chat box for like a good 30 mins. just hundreds of names over and over and over. it didn't really do much in the end(this was back when Scania and Bera were the only GMS servers).
it would be nice to see less bots and scammers. however, i know for a fact, there will always be thousands roaming around. hackers make money off of games like this, so they have no reason to stop, and they WILL find ways around any walls that get built to stop them. (less)
one cause of the lag was the large number of players playing at one time. the servers can only do so much at one time.
one way to fix that is to have more servers to help deal with the … (more)larger amount of work, but that cost a lot of money, and would take more then a day to set up, plus you need a room that can keep it cool because the amount of heat a large server produces would fry all the internal parts without proper ventilation, thus destroying it.
there may be some other possible reasons, but that's one of the big reasons. (less)
