Bug Type: Event objective

The Sengoku Scroll objective "Reach Stage 30 in [Eliminate the Oda Forces]" does not update when you reach stage 30.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Enter "Eliminate the Oda Forces". Progress to stage 30.

2. Leave stage 30 without clearing.

3. Observe that no credit has been granted on the Sengoku Scroll.

Character name: Aichmessa

Character level: 232

Character job: Dark Knight

World name: Reboot

Date and time of incident: ongoing since October 14.

It's working as intended, it's just poorly worded. You have to beat Stage 30 for it to count, but unfortunately the Stage 30 mobs are level 260 so you need to be Level 241+ in Reboot to clear.

Who translates this stuff to English? It's not even ambiguous. Reaching and beating are very different things.

Nexon? Whether you like it or not that's how it is. I've been getting credit for this mission in the Sengoku Scroll every time I clear Floor 30 so it's clearly working and nothing about it is bugged / broken, it's just poorly worded in the end.

Which do you think is more likely:

A reward is supposed to be given for clearing 29/30 stages as implied by the description

A reward is supposed to be given for clearing every stage; description is a mistranslation.

    Hello,
Yes, players must clear Stage 30 for the mission to count. We apologize for the confusion.
Additionally, we've relayed the concern about Reboot players being unable to complete this mission unless their character is Lv. 241 and above.
    Thank you for the report!

Will there be any workaround to this issue in Reboot?

Is there any word on this? The patch notes have been updated many times, and they still say "reach floor 30". So does the ingame text on the scroll.

And it seems ridiculous for the event to be designed such that 97+% of players aren't even theoretically able to complete it. (Completion for the level 240 achievement is apparently just over 3%...)

If there's not a fix today, it will be impossible even if it gets fixed, since the scroll requires 10 days of reaching floor 30.

  • Is there any update on this?

There never used to be an event with such a high level requirement before (97% of the playerbase aren't 240+). Previously, being lower than 240 just means slower progress, but it is still possible to complete the event.

It's around 2.5 weeks since this concern has been forwarded, any news?
