Toad Boss bug

I went to defeat the red toad 6 times but it did not appear I could only see the purple toad but when I killed it the red one never appeared and it did not give me the golden toad totem, I've seen some videos and they got the red boss

    The red angry megatoad can only manifest if you make a joke of his security system by getting to the the boss room within 10 minutes.
