if you're having problems with this, just finish every other key quest in Afterlands (except for the grave dude) and it should start working. they don't seem to care about it, so i'm pretty sure it's never gonna get fixed
Steps to reproduce:
1. Break the wall to allow Mansa to leave the castle.
2. Take Ben's item out of the castle.
3. Attempt to accept the quest from the gold sack
Theres a step in between 2 and 3 - and that is to leave the land of riches
SOLUTION:
1. you free everyone from the castle
2. you must do a lap around the afterlands
3. Once you have received the key from Mansa's gold pile of puke then you may click the sack.
4. talk to hornheb , then talk to yourself then back to little guy under the sack
5. make it rain and click on the gold statue in land of warriors
6. talk to thatch in the land of warriors then talk to statue again
7. talk to hornheb
I've done [Afterlands] three times this week with alts, so I hope this is clear enough for anyone having issues

Never. It's 2021, they still havent fixed it.
I'm contacting support & praying they'll care enough to fix my questline, otherwise, I wasted 3 days on The Afterlands (im beginner)
I was able to finish it on several different characters with no issues. You missed a step somewhere, but you can still salvage it.
