I wanted to seriously mention a huge problem. Maplestory has been losing audience these last few years. Sense the "Big Bang" update, Maple seemed to be upgrading, and leveling became much easier. However, while the element of -%int- for example would make the game more interesting for a mage, the game becomes a -damage competition-.
Also, if we look at the events, they have been very mono-toned these last few years.
If we look back, around the time in which Maplestory has been in it's 0.62 update or so, it was absolutly amazing.
No percentage of stats (i.e. %int), no cubes, only scrolling. Events were more about holidays and had real content, and not this facebook-like-gaming feel to it.
I highly suggest the opening of a "Maple-Nostalgia-Global" or "maplePast"... A different Global server featuring maplestory v.62 or so.
When the competition is about leveling. And you actually log in and play with your friends! see who is online, chat there and do PQ's together, Whatsapp wan't there 9-8-7 years ago right?
When maplestory becomes the social network (and not facebook or instagram for that matter), it is so much more friendly and fun, this is one of the reasons im really looking forward to Maplestory 2, with the element of taking selfies with you friend's characters, its really getting itself with the current era.

2. But we do have Whatsapp today, and Facebook and Instagram and Discord and whatever else. You can bring back a past version but you can't bring back the past environment. Maple's not needed as a social platform anymore. It's quite clunky as one, tbh.
