Closing Star Planet

Well, u are now closing this part of Maplestory as well as KMS did, on a similar patch after Heroes one. Just with a different reason/excuse, they said it was many hackers doing lots of RPs, and i think it was cause they gave them an option to receive RPs playing Star Planet via mobile phones. I just wanted to tell how upset I am cause of this, cause I really looked at them as a pause from grinding/bossing on actual Maplestory.

I don't remember this happening in GMS.

However for the rest, bots and hackers were abusing Star Planet for exploitation reasons with the use of a computer and third-party tools. Along with the fact that you can get more Reward Points through Star Planet many players have argued that it was more of a disconnect to the actual game. Lastly with KMS no longer supporting it in the actual game and making it an app (can someone verify this?) it would be difficult to see GMS support content that they didn't originally create that'll eventually become outdated.

Yeah bots and hackers ruins the fun for all players playing star planet also I'm a bit surprised when I see bots and hackers getting more reward points via mobile in star planet.

They said the reward items? revamped so I think that means more rp per boss. I like the other better maple changes though

I wonder if future changes to the amount of reward points given by bosses will ever compensate for the 1 500 less reward points per day now.

They need to like triple the rp from bosses. Or other avenues. We live on Avenue Q.

Second, with the Strange Stories update this week we are planning to close down Star Planet. While we were initially excited about the introduction of Star Planet as an additional way for players to play mini-games with each other, the participation was not as high as we had hoped. When looking at the daily number of players who accessed Star Planet, we only saw less than 1\% enter Star Planet from all worlds. We also know many of you expressed concern about losing an avenue to obtain reward points, so we looked into those concerns as well. We found that out of all the Maple Reward point rewards, less than 5\% of them were obtained in Star Planet. This told us that players weren’t really accessing Star Planet as much as we hoped and that players were finding Maple Reward points from other sources much more efficient to obtain. We understand that closing Star Planet will eliminate an additional source of Maple Reward points, so we plan to increase the amount of Reward points awarded during events in the future.

sounds like a load of crap. Has anyone ever had any trouble finding a match in One Card? I was always able to do my 10 games per day.

sounds like a load of crap. Has anyone ever had any trouble finding a match in One Card? I was always able to do my 10 games per day. not to me I don't have any problem finding a match with one card.

Really? Where the hell are people getting >95% of their Reward points then? Bossing everything? As if I have the time or resources for that.

This was an option given to KMS. Was refering to them, not us.

Omg nexon and their failed math. First off if star planet represented less than 1% of all players there are way more players than I thought. Secondly they said less than 5% of all reward points were from star planet. They just said that star planet attendance was less than 1%. Which means star planet was an immensely more efficient way of getting rp. Which should be common knowledge but that's your fault if you didn't know that.

I mean, it takes me like an hour and a half or so when I sit down and actually do my daily boss runs. And that nets me right around 620 or so reward points. And of course there are people who can do more bosses than I'm able to, so they get more, but 620 is about the bare minimum for someone around 160-200 to be able to get daily

Hey Nexon, you know that Star Planet can give up to valuable 1 hour of 2x exp coupons everyday right??? Why are you guys always making leveling harder and harder??? Never mind in Decemeber, you going to make exp coupons and holy symbol additive instead of multiplicative too, totally lame.

An hour and a half is enough time to get more than double that RP in Star Planet.

Honestly, I dreaded going to Star Planet every day I went because it's all so obviously rigged, but losing 1500 daily RP really hurts a free player like myself. I don't have the time or any desire to log in and out of 20 characters and go bossing for 2 hours straight. And even on the rare occasions I do that I'll still be making half of what I could be.

I'm extremely salty right now. It's actually a feeling very similar to the usual Star Planet experience ironically.

Of course you were. But 9 matches out of 10 were against bots.

As for where you'll get your RP: bosses and monster collection.
And they say they'll give more of them out during events (like the recent hot weeks that gave 1000 RP tokens, I assume).

oh boy, what a great consolation. I'm totally going to enjoy the 1000 RP as a replacement for the 3000 RP I could have gotten from playing in Star Planet on my main and in Reboot.
