Are 2x exp&drop weekends gone forever?

I don't see any date for this event, neither we had on along this last patch. Is any announcement about this that am I missing?
I honestly miss this kind of events, I used them to level a lot my characters for Legion.

    I miss them too..;o;

    I loved having like a weekend-long event that gets everyone hyped up to play and train their characters. I miss the HYPE!

    Also leveling all your alts. Mm nothin better than a 2x event grind.

    last patch was a crossover, patch before that was the new year/lunar newyear patch, they dont normally do x2 events outside of major updates (summer and winter updates) and celebrations (like maple anniv, 4th of july..etc)
    the patches in between summer and winter patches generally dont have many x2 events unless it's something special.

    this patch will likely have a x2 event because mapleversary

    Exactly 2X exp events are usually on maple's anniversary which this is the 13th, and they normally don't announce them more than a day in advance of the weekend. Also tons of 2X exp events are always held during summer break to bring in the summer crowds when school is out =)
