Being forced to have a kanna to farm mesos is lame. Remove all kannas from reboot plz and add zero in their absence. Put a daily mesos limit on the amount of mesos u can earn per day, to stop botter auto farm abuse. This will fix reboot imo.

stop invalidating a class because you don't want to meso farm/don't have a kishin to farm with

You can't just remove a class, but I agree they shouldn't be necessary for farming meso. I stopped at lvl 204 in Reboot because using kanna was so boring, but some people like it so removing it is not a solution.

Talk about controversial ideas: Maybe the spawn rates should just be increased across the board? Maybe forcing reboot players to use a Kanna is a bad idea, along with the fact that people in nonreboot servers sell this skill as a service.. - I say this is bad because you could potentially be forcing maplers to consistently play a class they resent in order to progress, why do this to your players..

On top of that, maybe the frenzy totem was a bad idea too.. An item that notoriously sells for over $1000 on illegitimate black markets just for the sake of an increased spawn rate should definitely raise questions- like, if increased spawn rates have that much demand, maybe we should adjust the spawn rates? or atleast make this totem more accessible to some degree... Food for thought.

OK OK, so don't remove Kanna but remove kishin and give kanna a new ability that does not increase spawn rate and numbers of monsters spawned so we can have an equal playing field. honestly this should of been TOP priority when they 1st made reboot also frenzy totem should not be allowed either on reboot and yes plz add a mesos daily cap.

KMS dont have kanna so why would it be top priority to have them be different for reboot? also Frenzy totem shouldn't be on reboot cause afaik its only in marvel or philo books, both of which i dont believe are able to be gotten on reboot. lastly, due to the fact that reboot and reg servers share the same data in regards to class skills, making a change to them be unique for reboot only is not going to work out without a ton of work and bugs.

if anything, to make it a truly "even playing field" on reboot, they should make all the item storages be character only storages instead of account storages, people wouldn't be complaining about being able to trade everything except equipment between the account, and item tradablity wouldn't be a question on reboot, it would also be a change in the spirit of how they intended reboot to be and allow reboot characters to store equipment outside of their inventory.

but nexon is so scared of changing anything storage related because it's both old and stable code (which is why they were scared to change inventory space in the making of the V update)

This would honestly do much more harm than good.

What this would encourage instead is leeching mesos onto your main from a kanna mule, making the barrier to entry into reboot even higher (you'd need another account to farm for you instead of being able to do it from your own account).

People who can already meso farm on their mains would keep getting stronger, and lose all motivation to play anything but their mains, while people trying to start afresh would have no meaningful way to get mesos except by leeching off a kanna farmer. Additionally, people stuck in the middle would most likely just quit playing altogether. This is the complete opposite of an "even playing field." Unless you mean by killing off everyone but the hardcore already established players, which I guess in a way is an even playing field. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The actual answer to "solving" reboot is just adding ways to make substantial amounts of mesos that doesn't scale up with the amount of monsters you can kill. That way you can do it without a Kanna, botters don't benefit, and players can play on their mains. This is either through bossing, questing, or pqs. Nexon will likely never implement such changes, and therefore we're stuck at a tentative solution of kanna farming in order to reach the lategame.

I stopped playing as much after the boss crystals were brought, I used to boss farm as my source of mesos. So, I wouldn't think removing Kanna even if it were possible, would be the ideal choice to make things better. Reasons farming mesos now isn't appealing:

Not enough monsters in a map - enter Kanna
Not enough maps to farm in - probably the main reason
Not enough mesos drop from the bags - it takes billions (meso drop rate gear) just to farm more billions

I was just making a point, this person says they want it to be a even playing field, but instead decide kill a good aspect of a class instead of giving a real evener that would actually be in the spirit of reboot (how reboot is meant to be)

i think solving the issue would be to both increase the worth and drop rate of traces (as well as add worth to SW gear and increase worth poisonic gear) and implement character specific inventories while boosting mob count or spawnrate in all maps to certain degrees.

it's rather impossible to add ways to make meso that dont scale up to how many monsters you can kill as, it would mean either making a majority of the reboot life not really experiencing the game by moving it to minigames or if they added them to quests people would compare howmany mins of doing the quest for the reward (meso or spelltrace) vs how many mins grinding for meso and spelltraces directly on a kanna. players already do this with exp which is why PQ's are dead.

IMO: the only way to fix this without making the community too upset would be to make the current average you get on a kanna become the rough standard you should be able to get on any character/your main character while preventing the movment of meso or making completely separate storages, so people cant be upset that they were making less than they use to or are progressing slower than before such a change, so that only people that compare rates to kanna are the only grumpy bunch.

Instead of proposing to delete kanna, why not a revamp?

You're not forced to farm with a kanna, it's just faster with one. If you don't have a kanna to farm with, go for bigger maps with more mobs instead of the small popular maps.

What does adding zero have to do with any of this?

Meso cap. This punishes honest players just as much as bots.
