Unable to play in my region anymore?

I've submitted tickets already about this, as well as talked to GM Sadasop in the online chat they said my best bet was to post here...
I am Military stationed overseas (Japan) my husband and I have been here for 3 years already and have had ZERO issues playing maple from here. However ever since MapleStory 2 has come out our launcher now says our region is unavailable... I don't understand why? I was able to Beta test Maple2 with no issues and even play in the Lab server. but now I can't load the game at all.
Is there a way to unlock my account via IP address? if you guys can ban using IP you should be able to allow access using IP also. I've had other games and companies unlock my account IP for me to allow me to play while here in Japan to include: Tera, Netflix, Hulu, and Xbox/Microsoft.
I noticed in the "new" region limitation post that some people can still access the game in certain regions if their account was made before a certain date. is that a possibility?
I have been playing MapleStory since 2006 and have spent thousands of dollars on this game. My husband and I will be here for another 3 years (at a minimum) I would really like to not have to quit and waste all that time and money, not to mention losing my friends and guild.

You could also try sending a direct message to Arwoo, I'm not sure if he'll see it or not, but he's our Community Manager and it's worth a shot.
Unfortunately steam gives the same problem the only way to “play” now I s through a VPN but it’s against ToS so I would rather not lose my account
I can try messaging Arwoo hopefully they see it. I’ve alred missed my fav holiday for maple. (Halloween) I would rather not miss thanksgiving and Christmas too

There's a wait process for joining the discord server itself, but I think you can see the Nexon staff even under this wait.
If not, then it doesn't take long to be greenlit, at which point you'll be able to see and direct message them.
Hopefully you can get a word in to someone. Active Military (and family of) has it rough, Nexon needs to address this asap.
