About the color turning back to pink at certain times, i think it's a visual bug for the owner of the pet. A friend of mine had this issue, and kept saying his beans were pink, but i could see them of the correct colors he had chosen.
I managed to boom 2 items out of 2 attempts at the 1% css that have a 2% boom chance on failure. And I have another 100% fail+boom rate on the old 70% potential scrolls, when they still destroyed items on failure. Your luck's not so bad, cheer up :P

I've done the quest pretty recently and it worked fine. There is only one thing I can think of: monsters in maps that require star force do not count, you have to kill the ones in regular maps.

It happens anytime I pick up items, kill monsters or summon familiars. Lag doesn't help either. It doesn't even seem to be related to how long I've been playing, it's like that as soon as I log in.
No need for 2x, it lags anyway. At times it's barely playable, at other even selling something to the npcs takes minutes, it's getting really ridiculous. I lag less in the event maps (quiz and bingo) than in regular ones.
