  • Increase Meso Drops for High Level Mobs

    Aggraphine wrote: »
I can't tell what you're saying here. Did you like having bots infesting almost every map, spamming in henesys all hours of the day and night, because things were cheaper and easier to get? And now that they're gone and the market has trended upward, you're unhappy?

Suffice it to say, with the sheer amount of meso sinks already present in the game, I'd wager that "increase the base meso amount per drop" is far from their to-do list.

Minor hilarious footnote: mesos were almost worthless when the bots were around, to the point where I think bera's meso market rates were 1b for 10k or less maple points. I don't think it's that big a problem that mesos are slowly becoming more valuable again.

I think you missed his point. He's not saying he misses the bots infesting maps, hes saying the elimination of botters has caused an unstable increase in the cost of mesos. Which is true, the increase in value for mesos has not be 'slow'. It literally skyrocketed 1000% within a month or two. if a starforce attempt costs you 100m, the difference is 20cents before vs. >$2 now.

Obviously eliminating hackers is a good thing, the only reason their elimination led to mesos going up 1000% is because Nexon allowed the state of the game to rely on hackers.

But lets not twist what his point was.

  • Extend the Celestial Festival Event

@Aggraphine That's entirely baseless and a personal preference. I hear alot of people who want to get that mount transfer coupon and it's on the last rank of the event.

Anyway, there aren't enough days to get to the last rank which is enough of a reason to extend the event.

I could argue that your "a lot of people" is baseless and a personal preference too. As far as I see on a day-to-day basis, no one even uses mounts other than to show off in a town.

That makes NO sense.. Suggesting that a reward for an event is relatively hard to achieve in the 27 day time frame given and stating they're hearing anecdotally other people are complaining about the same problem isn't baseless, because this is the suggestions forum for the community, and nobody is compiling statistically significant data on maples player preferences here for you. IF that's what you're expecting from the players making suggestions to the game maybe you shouldn't be contributing to the forum because it's an unreasonable standard. I've literally seen you post "CITATIONS PLEASE" for someone stating players like something..

I feel like this post is missing the meat of the event and instead focusing on the rank-up rewards as somehow being the most important facet of the whole thing.

That is a huge assumption about the OP's point of view. Again, this is a forum for suggestions, he's providing a suggestion about the event, and your reply is inferring if he doesn't have a suggestion about the 'meat of the event', then it is not worth mentioning on this forum. This is arbitrary, and not for you to determine.

    no.
(imagine old known player ign to be used now by some stranger/cheater and all the drama/imposter scams that can come with it )

also even if nexon somehow see this and do a wipe just to piss players as usual
do you think you got a chance to get with all the bots waiting on dam thing to snatch igns for money?
or the moment they wipe what stops someone to snatch most and hord them again?

in other hand most of the nice igns are offranked/banned users anyway...
just move on its not a simple solution and nexonNA cant code on their own outside of nexon korea anyway ... so good luck with that

Exactly - you already see that happening on Discord, where people are buying tags that look identical to reputable players. The opportunity for exploitation is huge with this change after so soon.

Also, can you imagine a player paying real money for a name change coupon, steps away from the game for a couple years, comes back and Nexon is like - 'hey we gave away that IGN you bought off us, here is your new one Mr. #00123567D.'

It took them 15 years to rationalize doing that event. Doing it again after 5 would be ridiculous.

Nope. I love all my IGNs. It's your fault you weren't there for the event. Too bad you guys weren't active in October of 2015. Hell I was on vacation on an island and got those 200 igns on my accounts.

This is such a minor problem relative to all the other areas we can complain about.

What's it like being a terrible excuse for a person? People like you are precisely why I want to see another name wipe and have it based on a total amount of logged-in hours in a given span of time rather than being able to one-tap a dozen accounts to flag them as active.

A little harsh for a video game character name but ironically I was using your line of reasoning for the server transfer events.

Oh so you're just another one of the people who missed their chance to move to bera when the transfers happened and now you want in without having to start from scratch. Not happening.

OH so you're just another one of the people who missed their chance to get a new ign when the IGN event happened and now you want in instead of using one of the other millions of igns available? Not happening.

Like you said, you missed the event, I spent a lot of my own time attaining all my IGN's during that event, why should the time I spent on that event be rendered useless because you are too picky with what your character is named?

I hold sentimental value to all my IGN's now, how does that make me a terrible excuse of a person?
