  • Dutch trading restrictions.

the only elegant solution for european players is not that hard to implement:
step 1: take the game from non-reboot
step 2: replace the cash shop from non-reboot with the one from reboot
step 3: add untradeble items like permapets, frenzy totem, perma telerocks ..... to cash shop on a non-gambling base (what you see is what you get)
that should provide nexon enough income to make it worthwhile
step 4: throw all that on a new server and organise a world transfer event

this way you get a nice play to win version of the game without the gambling aspect, with some good functionality items available from cash shop
it would also be the first time in over a decade that i could recommend the game to friends, and i guess they would finally get an expanding playerbase

such a server would avoid that many players will quit, and makes it able to world transfer people from other counties in europe whenever their gambling rules catch up with the dutch and belgian ones

  • KANNA SOLUTION

If you really want to solve the hacker Problem with kishin I guess there is a simple solution all real Players could live with.

Just introduce it at a much higher Level (like at lvl 199) and give it as a reward for one of those tedious questlines nexon is famous for

A Long tedious questline like the one to get to gollux or an Extension of the princess No quests would put off most hackers and filter out the real Players who want to put in the effort.

I guess such a solution would be much more efficient than making kanna-creation only available for short time periods

A tedious Long questline is the best way to avoid exploit by botters

  • KANNA SOLUTION

If you touch Kishin you lose even a much bigger Player base.

A second pc with kishin is the cheap solution to get some decent equips
(faster playing means being able to Play multiple accounts to gain more stuff for decent equips0

In a game where most end equips each cost a Player more than the Price of a second pc a lot of Players still hope to Progress with Play to win instead of pay to win.
The Price of good end equips needed for most of the upper end Boss Content lies somewhere between that of a car, and that of a small house.
poor Players try to compensate with overplaying at the cost of a second pc

take a way this hope to improve by nerfing their means to Play efficiently and a lot of them will give up the game

Since most of this Group are Players who really Play a lot and on multiple accounts, nerfing kishin will take away lag in more ways than one.

It will free up a lot of maps since so many People will quit

Have fun in a dying maple world

  • finetuning game balancing

We all love the effort Nexon puts in to Balance the game.

Let me Quote from the Tune-up patchnotes:

    "Skill Revamps
    [Updated September 1]
•All jobs receiving some skill revamps to improve the balance between jobs.
•Both Kanna and Hayato are receiving skill revamps to adjust their skills’ stats, balance, energy cost, and more.
•Kanna’s stats will be increased to make her more competitive and balanced with other Magician Jobs "

thx for aknowledging the Need to make the kanna class more competitive with other classes and a really fun class to play

October 18 (not even 2 months later) they decided to move the balancing to the next Level and started with the kanna again.
Nexon decided that the game would become much more challenging when they removed 70% of the damage of the kanna class.

All Nexon Needs to do now is to remove 70% of the damage of all other classes and the game is in Balance again and more challenging for all than ever before.
I really hope they implement this easy way of balancing the game as soon as possible.

In the unlikely Event that Nexon is not planning to remove 70% of damage for all other classes and just thinks it is a good idea to treat all kanna Players unfair, I think they could at least Show some Goodwill to all those Players that feel cheated by this sudden discrimination.

Nexon has several Options to make up for this kanna hate which could Keep some Players from leaving the game.

If this nerf is meant to kill the kanna class they could give all kanna Players the Option to make a Job Change.
Changing to any other mage class could Keep us from Feeling robbed from all the effort/NX we put in over the years to main our kanna.
This way we could easily Keep all our untradeble gear / quest items and continue to have some fun in the game.
We could Keep our arcane force and if nexon added about 10000 nodestones to this deal we could even reskill fast to Keep our current strength.
(they can easily calculate how many nodestones everybody Needs to make the same lvl of nodes for the new Job as we have now)

In the unlikely Event that they did not really want to kill the kanna class i suggest they make an effort to give some strength back to make kanna playable.
An Option would be to give each kanna in the Region of 25 legendary Bonus potential scrolls and somewhere between 2000 and 5000 free cubes to cube those Bonus potentials.
This way kanna Players could at least regain some of the strenght they just lost and continue to Play their kanna main.

These are just some possible alternative options for nexon to Keep the game fair and balanced

A solution like giving all kanna 25 free plat scissors and making all gear they have tradeble so they could put it on another char is probably too hard to execute for nexon, due to loads of gear being quest gear and Level differences between receiving chars and kanna, so anything in this direction would only be a half solution for playability.

Asking Nexon to admit they made a mistake killing off the kanna class and rerolling the nerf is probably too much to ask and too hard for Nexon to admit.

I guess I´ll try to attach my first poll to this one
