  • Don't nerf the drop rate system like KMS did

I dont see why a few e.g. 5 nodestones cant be added to daily symbol quest in vanishing jurney or chuchu pq. So that players that dont have insane dropprate atleast over time can feel like they get some kind of progress.

This. I'd love to see being able to choose between nodes and symbols, or at least, when you already have a symbol maxed, the dailies for it give nodestones instead, so they're not completely useless. And in general, it'd be great if everything were much less dependent on drop rate, and in that case, the nerf wouldn't hit as hard, but for as long as there is no daily quests that give nodestones or droplet stones, this nerf, should it come to GMS, will make things much harder for everyone.

it slightly evens out the playing field.

Again with this "evening out the playing field", "decreasing the gap between the rich and poor"
Making it harder for people above you doesn't make it easier for you. Changing the way you see it's not going to change the fact that it will be harder to get nodestones in general. The first general increase will benefit everyone, the nerf will be a huge detriment to those already situated with drop rate. And then prices will start to rise, due to a decrease in supply of nodestones. And then botters will abuse that to profit even more.

That's not even accounting for that even if it was a benefit to less funded players for nodestones, this will lower drop rate to symbols, droplet stones, event items, basically everything important. The drop rate nerf isn't just about nodes. The current system is fine. It doesn't need a nerf.

And nodestones aren't something that's supposed to be very rare and very valuable. They're something you need thousands of to max out on, at least a few hundred to get to just a decent place with in terms of progression. I'm convinced Nexon thinks that one individual nodestone is worth at least 1b.

  • The game is cluttered - no real community

The only thing good about pre Big Bang was the community. Would people really want to play the same damn content and the same damn classes and take 5 weeks for 5 levels before even 200 for 12-13 years? Would this game even be here still if all that actually did happen?

This is why there's a divide between those obsessed with nostalgia and those that are absolutely tired of it. The vocal part of the side of nostalgia will not shut up about it, and will not move on from it and will perpetually insist that any new content added to this game is inferior to the multi hour grind to level 10 and dying to disgustingly overpowered mobs on the long boat ride that was the only way to travel between continents. There are some people I've encountered that say "God, I miss back when level 30 was a grind." But did you really? Because good luck enjoying leveling at that speed all the way until 200, where all the important content now begins.

Almost all servers of Maple Story shut down and only a few still survive. Maple Story used to be huge and now it's basically irrelevant.
    "shut down"
    pls

Calling me a spoiled brat for looking at things differently is so immature.
"immature" and yet you'd like to remove most of the classes that many players enjoy just as much as explorers just because you don't like them or aren't willing to try them out and most of the content in this game, that people have invested so much into. You would be the only one celebrating if everyone were to lose their bonus potentials, nebulites. spell traces, etc for the sake of reducing whatever the hell your definition of "clutter" and "mess" is. Honestly, your entire argument is cluttered, and a mess.

Can you even argue with some of my points? Why are there gazillion quests when leveling is too too too fast? Why are there so many servers? Why is the community and economy dead?

And I won't even say anything about the original post. It speaks for itself on how ignorant and fallacious it is.

The nostalgia blinded aren't much better than hackers and botters. They are a detriment to the community. A contributor to its "death", to use your terms. And that's not to say nostalgia is inherently bad, it's a great part of the community, but it gets absolutely obnoxious sometimes, and this is a perfect example.

  • Umm Zero on reboot charater create.

    AmaneBlack wrote: »
I suspect that's the reason why it can't come to Reboot. It's pretty much giving every botter free solo maps to farm endless Mesos to fund their entire account. And also triples Nexon's work

If botters can farm them in Reboot, they can farm them in normal servers too. By that logic, Zero would be unfair in normal servers too. The whole "but botters can do this in reboot" argument doesn't achieve anything, since it's basically everything they can do in normal servers, but without an economy to affect.

  • Magnus can go to hell

The more you die at the harder bosses, the more you'll learn about their attack patterns and mechanics.

The problem with Magnus is that no matter how well you know the boss and how well you can can deal with his attacks, RNG will still screw you. That and the DoT is completely ridiculous thing when combined with everything else, especially how Magnus will spam attacks and essentially zone you out of the blue area, which is the only place you can recover and not take DoT damage. That and it appears DoTs in general stop you from double jumping, buffing, etc when they tick.

Essentially, there's just too much to deal with. Take out 1 or 2 things, highly preferrably the DoT and gas, and it'd be a much less irritating experience.
