Any 12 year old developer can add an integer to a player and say "You can only lose exp 3 times per level", then reset the counter on level-up. Boom, no more false bans.
The goal of losing exp is to motivate players to *avoid* dying, not eliminate it altogether. Losing EXP more than three times per level is super easy, especially at high levels where you can spend months at the same level. If a player loses exp 3 times, over the course of several months, you think they should be permanently banned for that?(less)
So then we add a decay period to the counter. If no deaths/no level-ups in x-amount of days, reset counter.
Support also directs people to the forums for things no one on the forums can actually do anything with. I don't understand how I've never had an issue with them yet.
In fairness to nexon, a handful of people diligently doing dailies in a content area for a chair doesn't really outweigh the hundreds more who ignore it entirely, use it as a free trip to … (more)henesys or simply don't know it even exists. (less)
Well congratulations on hitting pretty much every single "I have no clue how things work at-scale" bullet point. Throwing more people at the problem will not solve it. This is a problem … (more)that, in a way, can't be "solved" in the traditional sense of the term; it's a constant back-and-forth.
The autoban works well enough, the weekly ban data posts from Ghiblee stand to reason. This in spite of the handful of times they've tweaked it without telling players and suddenly banwave(less)
It's been brought up numerous times over the years. Nearest most of us can tell is they have no plans on making a class out of her. I'm not sure if jms has her as a class or not, though.
