The loading page is ultimately pointless. You're still waiting the same length of time to actually get into the game, it just shuffled around where you wait.

There used to be another loading screen, looked like this:


Then they got rid of that "to put players at world select faster", but then you still had to wait for it to load. Now they've brought back the loading screen. There is basically no improvement or progress made here, just shifting the wait time to earlier in the process again.

Can it just be removed entirely? No one asked for it, no one has said "I'm glad they added this". It's far more of a burden and annoyance than it is a benefit.

This, unfortunate as it may be to some, is the best course of action right now. Shelve whatever intents you had in this game for the rest of the night(or day wherever you may be) and find another use for your time.

Will you be sharing what went balls-up afterward? Usually when an unscheduled maintenance goes up with the fix as "we'll tell you later" it's something broken in a hilariously bad way

That's an important distinction. I had the good fortune to be present when it was available last and pre-drill hall nerf, so I was able to spend hours just running back and forth holding down one key. More to the point, it's been five years since this thing was available. It's wholly unfair to everyone who's made, and mained, a wild hunter since then to make it only available to newly-made ones who hit 200 within some timeframe.

I see absolutely no reason why this cannot be brought back in a way that allows everyone to benefit. Put it in an event shop and make sure it's the tamed jaguar and not just a run-of-the-mill mount.
