I don't know for sure, but from what I heard, you don't have to disassemble your I/L nodes. They'll just get unequipped and you won't be able to re-equip them (since you're a different job now). Nothing get's "reset" perse. Node shards should stay the same also.

This is correct, yes. You don't lose anything but the ability to use the nodes that are now for a different class than you currently are.

You can have mining and herbalism and one of the other three production skills(if you're on reboot you can have all professions). So you can have mining, herbalism and alchemy all at once.

There's already a thread for things like this.

One might argue that the current setup for skill books is far more straightforward than anything before it. You have two books, mastery book 20 and mastery book 30, that work on all of your skills without fail. Rather than the old method of figuring out what dropped the books you need, and hoping you hit that 70% or 50% pass chance.

I'm pretty sure the retro coin shop has mastery books available if you're unable to buy them from the shops for mesos.
