Kerning Square will be revamped into Kerning Tower in a future patch. Most likely the spring patch, judging by KMS's release dates, unless we receive some region-exclusive content. https://orangemushroom.net/2016/09/28/kms-ver-1-2-265-kerning-tower/ The revamped area will be level 145+ and feature a brand-new storyline involving an idol group. This patch also includes numerous QOL changes.
Omega Sector is slated next for a revamp during the Union part of the BEYOND update. The new Omega Sector has not yet been released in KMS, so the details are fuzzy. However the storyline will involve the Mesorangers and infiltration of a UFO with a brand-new alien villain. You can see some of the artwork in the BEYOND trailer: Around 1:03
Server reset time is 12:00 AM midnight UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), which is the standard by which other time zones are measured. Previously in GMS, the reset time was PST (Pacific Standard Time) or PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) depending on Daylight Savings.
So, server reset occurs at 4:00 PM Pacific, or 7:00 PM Eastern. In-game quests dependent on time (I.E. calling Orchid or participating in Kritias invasions) and boss resets (Zakum, Hilla, etc) are their UTC equivalent. Due to some confusion from players Nexon, Hot Day gift boxes and Cash Shop reset in Pacific time still. 2x events and other events will list their available time in PST, EST, CET (Central European Time), and AEDT (Eastern Australian Daylight time) or AEST (Eastern Australian Standard Time). http://maplestory.nexon.net/news/19903/update-2x-exp-drop-event-12-31-1-2 So be sure to check event times on the news posts.
Nexon has commented that they're looking into playing around with quest times to see if they can alleviate confusion caused by the server time, but nothing definite.
There is an unrelated bug with Zakum that has been locking some players out of their daily runs, however, it's caused by all instances of Zakum in that particular channel being full when you're trying to enter, causing the game to miscount your number of runs.
Most HTML functions on the forum were disable after a rather nasty attack involving malicious Javascripts sent via PMs (as well as GM impersonation, general trolling, and inappropriate content generated through the HTML span tag).
These measures are purely temporary and HTML functionality should be back in the future.
