  • Familiar System Revamp 2020 Questions

    There has been a very clear issue arise with the familiar update.

    and it all stems in a lack of clarity and transparency and consistency with your own words
    - patch notes or otherwise - not *you* specifically

    for starters % on buffs and effects should clearly be visible on things like drop rate and mp/hp healing. we should know exactly what we are getting and how much of it.
    we need to know clearly how the stats apply to our characters. and things like if multiple familiars with the same stat actually stack.

    3 familiars with drop rate will give whatever boost? or will only 1 familiar boost drop rate?

    Reboot is literally screaming to know why they will not have red familiar cards
    i have made my own arguements as to why that may be but all in all after alot of - rather rude - rebuttal they should seriously consider putting access to red familiar cards at the very least in the reward shop in reboot and main servers.

    I made this point on the first attempt at the revamp which eventually shut down like 2 days in.. the forums were all over that..

    The base drop rate is Disgustingly low - even for the commons -
    its great that some familars that pretty much were never seen actually drop now - but that doesn't negate the huge time sink obtaining them is -

    on top of that epics seem to be even harder to get now. i dont even wanna talk about uniques if they even drop.

    The famiiar shop alone if it was to be utilized properly requires spending about 20k familiar points a week. you do want us using that shop right?

    Considering the game pretty much starts at 200+ now its extremely ironic that familiars in those level ranges hardly - if ever - drop familiars.
    let alone at a reasonable drop rate that will make maplers want to even engage in the content outside of farming badges.

    familiars need to at the very least be a fairly common drop in order for the familiar system to be even remotely reasonable.
    not only because it will just make the system work properly but it also means the game is just in general more healthy.
    and everyone can progress at a reasonable rate..

    i have been talking - and purposefully - arguing on the forums and reddit for about 3 days now to come to these conclusions along with playing myself.

    I purposefully left out how familars with certain stats were unchanged. as i think its a bit more complicated than just " reset" everyone.

  • Familiar Drop List Should be posted somewhere?

    Now that familars are back. - but likely a maintenance is coming as there seems to be some issues-

    its quite clear at this point that a DROP LIST should be available for familiars that currently drop in the game from the respective mob.

    I dont think anyone wants to spend hours farming a monster (or weeks/months on a boss) only to find out that it does not actually drop the familiar card.

    if there is a list somewhere hidden out there can somone link it.

    if not i think nexon should provide that drop list. since they went out of their way to update (and fix) the familiar system.

    even when we had the codex it did not show if a mob actually dropped the item still or not.'


    its about time that we had more transparency.

  • Any official word on Familars returning on the 22?

    idk if im out of the loop but it seems like the familar's have been basically ignored.
    are they even working on bringing them soon? they did say the 2nd rise patch.
    but there has not even been a hint of it coming.
    burning world is a distraction but i feel like it will also be an excuse to say "unfortunately the familar update is not ready yet"

  • Compensating Reboot if dmt continues to fail

    I would like to say i am suprised but i am really not.

    at this point its obvious nexon has their work cut out for them and i think the best thing to do now is as follow.

    5 or more legendary potential 100% scrolls.

    70% off cube sale with no limit on the amount of cubes.for an entire day or two with a one month expiry on those cube so they can actually work on their potential and not worry about crashing

    i feel like considering the amount of time people waited for dmt plus the time wasted by players patiently waiting a second time.
    this compensation seems more than fair.

    it also means you nexon will not have to make your servers implode with a 3rd DMT if the other later ones today fail.

    btw i do not play reboot. but its really sad to see them get shanked once again,

    This guy's clearly just trolling all the Na reboot players that are trying to get compensation. It's very obviously clear that only NA reboot was screwed over from dmt since every other server did not half even half the players Na Reboot had on during the dmt and thus didn't have the lag issue reboot had. Anyone glancing at any forums can see there was an issue with dmt for Reboot.

    You fault for playing reboot in the firts place not mine.

    Reboot is trash anyway.
