You can trim no longer relevant parts manually, or you can use the "Spoiler" feature to hide the old blocks of text.

You won't lose them, but the ones that are for cannoneer-specific skills will not be usable.

They occasionally bring out cosmetics (chairs, clothes, pets) designed by players.
They sometimes make balance or convenience ("quality of life") changes players are asking for, although it's hard to tell whether it's coincidence or not.
I have never heard of them implementing content (class, story, pq, etc) suggested by a player. Certainly not anything suggested outside of Korea.

Storage slot expansions can take up to a few hours to register.
