I was originally for this back in the previous forums but I realized the more "content removal" or "limitations" the more it hurts legitimate players than it does to a hacker or botter.
Throughout the years many sort of anti-hack gimmicks are only temporary. Does anyone remember the Anti-Bot Monsters? Those things may have been useful but cheaters got around by going to less popular maps or creation of new hacks to avoid Anti-Bot Mobs altogether.
Another great example is the "Boss recorded" system. It originally got so many people banned during Tempest on Hard Magnus due to it's impossibility of being defeated in that state in the game with the 999,999 damage cap. The only class that was able to beat it was Angelic Buster, but that had not been released during the first Hard Magnus clears. Nowadays I don't even know what that system is used for besides the illusion of a good anti-hack measure.
Magnus Anti-Hack itself... I mean the concept is great but the execution is horrible. If someone even lags a slight bit your run is doomed to be bombarded by thousands of paint-balls. But now even that is useless because hackers have made a counter to avoiding those balls completely. Along with the fact people can clear it faster with the raise of the 50 million damage cap, and soon the 10 billion damage cap.
If we really want to target botters it should really be more of attacking the source. Most of the botters are hackers, go after the hacks itself. The Elite System is just an added benefit. If it's removed it'll discourage a slower farm but it won't actually stop them from cheating by botting every other monster or system. They'll just move on to the next best thing.
Yeah, I'm not in support of monopoly of old items of just increasing the damage wall just so people like you keep racking profits by leeching Hellux runs, or an attempt to "freeze" the price so it only benefits YOU and the tiny minority.
And if you can solo Hellux, you're not unfunded. Suggesting to increase the health of a boss just so others can't beat it is a selfish suggestion that benefits almost no one in the community.
Was going to change my poll vote to "5. Use PST for the North American server and Central European Time (CET) for the European server." but I was unable to.
Global and Europe should have their own time-zones. But I am also in support of AKradian's 24/7 on certain things that are restricted by portions of the day. Such as Flag Race, Kritias Invasions, Events, etc.
Like I said earlier, when you see someone start winning, you should probably take them more seriously for the top position. Many people who were backing Hillary Clinton who have said Donald Trumps chances of winning wasn't a thing to worry about was ignorant or oblivious, especially when he got the Republican Nomination. If he was really a clown, I'd say he wouldn't be even remotely close to what he actually achieved.
Hillary Clinton may be a bit more sane in-person but her campaign was weak attacking Donald Trump. Meanwhile Donald Trump was the same, but slowly changed tactics which was the demise of the Democrats possibilities of winning.
There's a lot more to say but that's all to the past now. What has been done is now history.
The real test is to see what a Republican majority under Donald Trump can do within the next 4 years. Can he really make "America Great Again" for the will of the American people? Or will his platform crumble to ashes after he steps into office?
Today may seem slow, but 4 years from now may just seem like this was yesterday. We'll probably see this through.
