  • SOLUTIONS to reduce hackers

oh another idea came up. Coz hacker can read Quests ID coz it is client sided, you don't actually have to switch all the quests to server sided. Only the PQ for mesos farming is server sided. so maybe 3-5 quests in total? it is if server sided quest is possible. And the PQ itself will have a random 5-10 quests inside it so hack will not be able to guess which quests/tasks will be given to players.

If any piece of data is readable to you, it is also readable to the bot. So, even if a bot can't "hook" into the programme's memory, or read the quest data from a file, if you can open your quest log and read the quest description which tells you to kill three pigs and talk to someone or something, a bot can read that as well. As far as I know, there's no convinient way to obfuscate text to be unradable to a bot without turning everything into a CAPTCHA, and we don't want to turn everything into a CAPTCHA, because those are annoying and would be disruptive for the flow of the game.

  • Finish the "Active to Passive" Resolution

The primary argument that I can think of against making buffs passive is Phantom. If explorer skills such as Meso Guard, Magic Guard, or Recless Hunt are turned into passives, Phantoms could no longer steal those skills. However, I do agree that there are way too many active skills and buffs on certain classes, and that keyboard clutter should be reduced.

They (Hackers) probably can still hack, but after few minutes they have to turn the quest in to get the mesos. So they can't just leave the computer 24 hours a day farming billions mesos like what is happening right now.
OR, they could just make their bots read the quest description, and after the bot has completed the quest, automatically go to the map where they can turn the quest in?

With Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and all that jazz becoming more and more available, advanced bots will be much easier to make. So in my opinion, the best ways to combat hacking now and in the future are to fix exploits (such as full map attacks, full map teleporting, etc.) by changing the internal logic of certain actions, such as Blaze Wizard attacks and character movement, and to implement back-end constraints to some actions preventing certain abnormal actions from taking place (such as
monter vaccuuming), with some tolerance, of course, so that lag or other legitimate causes won't trigger anything bad.

  • Game resolution

1920*1080 has been one of the standard resolutions in games for a long time now. From what I could gather from some googling, it has been the second most common desktop screen resolution since 2014 (http://gs.statcounter.com/screen-resolution-stats/desktop/worldwide#monthly-200903-201706). I find it strange that even in 2017, this game only has three resolution options.

@Arwoo has adviced against using third party controller software (such as XPadder) on the official Discord Channel.
