  • [Announcement] Regarding Kanna's Haku's Blessing

How come Game team/development team have not thought about making the Haku +Magic attack% buff a passive effect instead?

If they wanted to remove the mage dominating parties for Lucid while keeping Kanna's power relatively the same when soloing, they can just add a passive effect to one of Kanna's skills that gives Kanna +magic attack% or Final damage% to balance the scale.

If the scale ever gets balanced...

They did add a passive 30% final damage buff in the last update to Kanna. This nerf will basically undo that and more. Will need to boost that up to like 60% FD (or just not nerf Kanna).

  • [Announcement] Regarding Kanna's Haku's Blessing

After much discussion and communication, the decision was made that we will be making the change to Haku's Blessing's magic damage buff formula. Currently, Haku's Blessing provides a significant increase to only magic attack based on the attack power of her fans. Rather than encouraging party play, Maplers felt that Haku's Blessing discouraged Kanna from partying with physical based jobs.

However, the decision to adjust Haku's Blessing formula was made after much review of the community feedback and discussions from our game teams. Ultimately, we will continue to review the state of Kanna after this change is made. Haku's Blessing's formula will be changed from multiplicative into a flat magic attack buff based on the magic attack modifier on Kanna's fans for every member in the party on 10/18/2017.

We will be sure to monitor all points pertaining to Kanna's performance in-game in conjunction with the community's feedback for additional discussions regarding the class' balance in the future.

Once again Nexon show's themselves to be completely incompetent at balancing their game. This comes after the last buff to Kanna which actually almost made it worth playing the class and even then they still needed further buffing. I doubt I'll even be able to go to Arcana after this.

If some players didn't like the magic attack buff that Kanna gave to other mages, fine we can adjust that. The best way would be to give the party access to the Final Damage instead of %Magic Attack or give them no attack buff at all if that was still deemed too powerful. Instead, you take the worst option by just shoehorning in another update from the other regions without any thought.

Flat magic attack is not going to help. In order for that to even be reasonable, the base damage for all of Kanna's skills is going to need to be at least doubled! For example, Vanquishers Charm is going to need to do 400% damage or more.

We hear you guys say Haku can't be a self-buff, but you don't give a good or technical reason. Nexon says they might revisit these changes, but in months it would take to maybe gather data all the Kannas suffer.

Every update I need to rethink my decision to play this game...

  • Kanna though...

The damage range means nothing for Kanna right now. Before the update I had a 2.6m range; after I now have an easy 4m , up to 4.6m with guild pot and echo. Even then I still can't finish the gem in Hellux and I don't seem to clear the mobs in Chu Chu any faster than before.

  • Is the 12* unique dominator pendant worth it?

If you just happen to get enough boxes you could throw it on a Demon Avenger mule that you don't plan to get Gollux immediately, otherwise it's not worth anything.

  • getting on "ok" button when i lauch my game

If you mean you get the following

I've had happen fairly often with the Nexon launcher. You can use the Steam launcher instead ( I haven't had any major issues with it ). Or you can take the following steps and it will usually fix things, for a while.
    1. Go to your games install folder. If you chose the default settings when installing that's going to be C:\Nexon\Library or press the little gear icon in the Launcher to bring up the game settings and click the "Open game location link"
    2. Go the games folder
    3. Rename the maplestory folder something else like maplestory1
    4. Press Play on the launcher
    5. The launcher should no longer see the game and begin to redownload the game. Press cancel, not pause.
    6. Open the game settings in the launcher and click uninstall
    7. If you kept the file explorer window open go back to it and change the name of the game install folder to something else like Games1
    8. Now open the Nexon launcher settings by clicking the arrow next to your profile picture.
    9. Scroll down to "Game installation location
    10. Click on "Change Folder"
    11. Select your newly renamed games folder. You will probably see an empty folder with the old name, this was created by the launcher, and you can delete it later.
    12. Go back to the maplestory folder and rename it back to just maplestory
    13. Press download on the Nexon launcher, it should verify that everything is in its proper place and switch to a "Play" button again
    14. Press play and if everything worked all the pathways will have been reassociated in the launcher and allow your to play again.
