You can expand it in the CS but that forces Heroic world players to spend real money which I'm not a fan of, offering even just one or two RP expansions a month would do wonders.

A better solution I think would just be to have familiars not tick down in town. This allows you to AFK with them for looks while not having to deal with resummoning them either.

You should only have to do story mode which should be extremely easy unless your gear just isn't setup properly.

Head to Karote Tower and make sure you completed all the quests there. You should have finished the tower and defeated story Kalos.
Make sure you also complete any and all story quests within the hotel.
