Both of the login methods you remember don't exist anymore. You should download the Nexon Launcher from the nexon.net website. You will need to log in with the email address used to create your account. (less)

If you move while in there, the game crashes. And exiting from Erda Spectrum puts you on that roof.

This issue is known and being worked on.

A workaround for now is to NOT MOVE after exiting Erda Spectrum. Instead, use Maple Guide or a Hyper Teleport Rock to go elsewhere, and then come back to Nameless Town if you need to.

Also, on your way to the Erda Spectrum NPC, don't FJ so as not to accidentally pass through that area. Instead, walk on the ground. That is safe. (less)

The skills that were addressed were those that were crashing the client.
Nexon is aware of the Lightning Orb issue.
