  • STOP THE SCAMMERS!STOP THE MADNESS!POLICY CHANGE?

Hullo, it has recently come to my attention that IT FREKIN SUCKS TO GET SCAMMED. I WORKED HARD FOR THAT $20 NX AND SOMEONE BY THE NAME OF [Removed]. Apparently GMs don't have as much power (as we think they do) and they can't ban players for scamming people and RUINING THEIR MAPLESTORY EXPERIENCE. I believe that nexon should give more power to gms so they can actually please the majority of the community, cause they're GAME MASTERS it's what they're supposed to do. I'm totally over it (not really) but we really have to do something about these scammers, it's really not cool.
I also think that NX should be allowed to be traded because...there's nothing wrong with it (except for the scamming part). It's a form of using real currency to get mesos and fund yourself there's nothing wrong with that. And GMs shouldn't use the excuse "Well it was in the terms of service" because no one reads it, I just click agree. I learned in ap computer science that terms of service was made that long so no one will spend the time actually reading it (something about the law?)
Thank you for hearing me out

the GM's have the power to ban due to "scamming" but they dont due to the fact that most of the scamming is done through shady , non legal trades that nexon doen't advise you do or part take in nor do they support them.

selling NX directly (not as Maple points) and meso transactions that go beyond the meso cap are things they do not advise people do, nor do they protect you if someone decides not to hold up their end of the bargain because they do not support such deals.

these things are mentioned somewhere in the rules and in the ToS/ToU.

if you want to sell your NX you have to do it legally through the Meso market, otherwise you are doing it illegally and have added possibility of getting scammed. You have no one else to blame for you getting scammed other than yourself, especially as we have the meso market.

and Dude, just because "Lol No one reads the Terms of Service" doesn't invalidate that those are the RULES of using the service that you Agreed to. That's like breaking into someones car to steal it, getting caught and then going "Who reads all the laws, I'm not a Lawyer, and it's just an excuse for me to be in trouble" when you live in a place where Theft is illegal.

I'm also pretty sure southpark did an episode (or more) explicitly about the "Blindly agreeing to Terms of Service" which was funny, over the top but also pretty true about the fact that there in lies stuff that you agree to that will effect you (such as rules of using the service, possibly allowing the selling or sharing of data and or other info, location tracking.. other)

Nexon do not agree with doing the things that get you scammed and therefore do not put any support for people that do those things nor will they enforce a slanted view of justice just because you got the bad end of a shady deal that, in their rules, they do not support.

  • I GOT BANNED FOR NO **** REASON

I didnt get perma banned but I was turning in a quest and a random pop up with the Maple Administrator fabricated lies that Cheating programmes were found on my computer and it was threatning to ban me, sometimes I think its just random rather than genuine whoever it bans tbh

if you got the "you have been kicked for the HACK reason" messege , that's a messege everyone gets when there is heavy lag, nothing to be worried about normally.

  • Old MapleStory (Pre-Big Bang)

Pre BB was only fun in the community aspect, other than that it was pretty terrible, but had reason (to hide the lack of content around certain levels and strech out the playtime as much as they could) but as the game got more content there was no reason to keep the old leveling mountain all these Pre-BB lovers keep admiring through their rose tented glasses of nostalgia, As I played Pre BB i have first hand experience of what it was like and remember that i loved my friends and the community, loved the exploring you could do but everything else was pretty bad. I especially don't understand the admiring of the ancient EXP mountain as back then the end game was either post 3rd job at lvl 70 (if you played from way back when it was first opened to public) or lvl 200 and the new end game is at 250.

less people need to be in the FM for 2 reasons
    1. Owls are free so anyone can search the FM stalls without having to bargan/haggle with a seller (also spam in the FM causes terrible lag which I always hated)
    2. we have a new way to sell stuff without the need for a stall or going into the FM at all, it's called the Auction House, if we had this system way back when, people wouldn't have been spamming in the FM or at the Hene portal.

  • Why Party Quests are dead?

If they put a daily limit on PQ's but make it so they give amazing EXP (far better then what you could get training) also have the exp scale to level up to around level 220 and give a bit better rewards like exp coupons, extra boss passes etc. That would promote a lot of party play and make the game more enoyable because you wouldn't have to mindless solo grind the whole time

that or give better rewards for completing it, like fusion tickets, neb boxes that give c or b rank nebs, spell trace stacks, maybe even x2 exp coupons and maple points or maple Rewards, you know, anything that players will actually use/ need most of the time instead of the lackluster stuff that they currently give which is basically just for collectors, which they can keep, but it really needs more than that to get people doing PQ's again .

I feel that Ironically the thing that Killed PQ's was removing limits to PQ's (that was a GMS exclusive change) on top of the crazy buffs to bosses that happened in unleased that made people leave the game.

pre unleased everyone was happy to do some PQ's, but post unleashed the only pq's people wanted to do were dimensional crack and RnJ, and once the lvl requirement went up for dimensional crack that was abandoned, and only RnJ was done until a nerf happened so people couldn't get from 70 to 140 in about 2 or 3 hours, at which point it became completely abandoned because for certain level ranges grinding is way better.

would be neat if they re-purposed some of them to work for lvls 200+ and give some decent exp as an alternative to grinding in arcane river
