iirc the jumping mushroom was just as bad as the loading issue we have going right now, as for many players it just caused maple to crash if the game didn't load before it timed out.
I don't remember it having a timeout at all. It could take a long time, especially on older and weaker computers, but I don't remember a timeout as such. Even if there was one, it could be increased if necessary. It certainly didn't affect anywhere near as many players as are having launch issues now.(less)

The launcher's come a long way. There are still issues, but if they start focusing mostly on it instead of having to worry about people who direct-launch the game, then I see no reason to think they won't have those issues sorted in short order. At least it doesn't download the entire game again if you try to launch the game while the servers are down anymore. And any remaining issues it has at this point aren't so bad that simply restarting it or, rarely, your entire computer won't resolve them.
the nexon launcher is garbage and buggy as all hell though (at least for maple), I'd rather not use it to update/ launch maple. it's way too inconsistent on working properly and updating the game properly. (less)
One reason is that they still want to have normal servers have some kind of + side other than trading, another is that Reboot players do not need the EXP boost from Zero anyway (they … (more)already have a highly boosted EXP accumulation) which is what most people in reboot are QQ'ing over anyway.
Normal servers: Trading and Zero
Reboot: only pay for Cosmetics and high EXP rates (less)
was hoping the NPC update was them moving Maple admin and cassandra to their own dimension, but instead we get something pretty stupid and useless because of political reasons
higher level does not mean better damage, as the damage boost you get is dependent on if your current gear has been upgraded beyond the initial power of the higher level gear, i.e. Better … (more)potential, scrolled, stars or even better base stats. (less)
