The lag and crashing is seriously getting out of hand.
Someone did and mvp buff and everyone in ardent lagged hard, some of us couldn't even leave.
Two minutes after the buff I lagged, the game crashed, and now it's gone.
Whenever a user buys something from the gachapon, style boxes, etc, the winnings are announced to everyone on the server.
I think this feature should be optional, as not everyone wants to broadcast what they are doing (or what they got) to everyone else. I know some people may see the announcements as no big deal, but I'm a more private person and like the option of being able to hide what I'm doing.
Can this be an optional feature please?
This is a curiosity more than anything, mostly after finding that it costs around $900 USD for the MVP Diamond.

What about Maplestory makes you want to spend such insane amounts of money on the game? And not like, help feed the poor and homeless?? What do you spend so much NX on? Is it a love for the game itself or is it for the fame and people recognizing your name?
I've had many games I've loved over the years but I can never imagine spending such an insane fortune on pixels, so I'm curious to the motivation other people have to spend so much money on items that aren't tangible/offer no quality of life. I can understand $10 or so here and there, I've bought a tiny bit of NX to buy some pets, but that's about it, since I can see a value in a pet in-game.
But what's the reason for you guys? I'm genuinely curious and want to know people's reasons, since I'm feeling a bit bitter that I don't even make $900 a month at my job and have bills to pay so I'm really salty rn. Also...how does everyone have the time to make so much money working and play so often on top of it? What are your secrets?

In non-Reboot worlds, you can buy Maple Points in the Meso Market, and use those to buy any cosmetics you want in the Cash Shop.
As you said, Nexon needs to make money to keep the game running. We get very angry when they sell power ("pay to win"). We should not try to stop them selling beauty as well. In my opinion.
Maple points are only good if you have NX to buy things with in the first place, though.
I've not seen Maplehood Watch but I'll have to look for it.
I have no problem with them selling some cosmetic items. But 99.5% of everything nice is for NX and that's a huge bummer. I have some characters I never play anymore simply because I am not rolling in cash to throw at nexon so they're all so ugly it's embarrassing. That's kind of the point I'm trying to make. If your free options are so ugly that they seem unplayable, there's a bit of an issue. I've also seen users on smegas mocking in-game equips and making fun of people who have to wear them.
Maple touts itself as 'free to play' but it's really not.
