It's honestly BS that they decided to incorporate a 13/50 rate in the style boxes and a 1/6 rate for hair styles, especially considering that they've literally showcased the hair styles by USING the character-specific coupons in the livestream.

I'm disappointed in that they're not selling at least some of the items separately like how they did it for Attack on Titan. It hurts using CAD due to it being lower than USD. Same with the hairstyles.

There has been no mention about the rest of the Re:Zero Event but it seems that it looks more like a huge money grab than an actual update with good quality content for free players.

Even before mentioning RMT(Real-money-trade) and other trades not supported by Nexon, you have to remember those are Black Market rates. It makes no sense to compare such differences between the average pricing of players in illegal trades versus the pricing made by Nexon.

A good example to look at would be the costs of Red Cubes and Black Cubes.

A Red Cube costs 1,200 NX in Non-Reboot while in Reboot it costs 12 million mesos.

A Black Cube costs 2,200 NX in Non-Reboot while in Reboot it costs 22 million mesos.

If we compare the rates of the previous two items...

A Re:ZERO Random Box normally costs 4,000 NX for all worlds but Reboot-exclusive it costs 500 million mesos?

It doesn't add up.

I've noticed your quoting methods needs some work. It's fine to multi-quote, but it needs to be legible. After three quotes it starts to get hard to read. Above that the quoting blocks starts to break and the post grows to be unnecessary massive chain that takes up more than it needs to on the page.

It's already a discussion about opinions. We don't need to add on unnecessary scrolling due to large chains of multi-quotes.

I honestly find the term "winning" quite an over-exaggerated response, if anyone is winning it's Nexon.

The main problem with 1 item with stats that out-rivals other items is the attainability. If the best item in-game can only be obtained for NX destroys the fundamental concept of GMS Reboot at its core: to not be able to use NX for a chance at higher stats.

In the long run it does matter. A good example would be a Tyrant Cape. A majority of people won't get even close to 15 or 10 stars. However in Non-reboot worlds you can simply have some No-Boom Advanced Equip Enhancement Scrolls buy an unlimited amount of Guardian Scrolls for NX. The free-to-play Non-Rebooters are only allowed to buy 2 Guardians per month. The point to get there is an enormous gap between free-to-play and paying players.

Sure, maybe you don't care. But the fact that most of new content favors those with the best equipment or who has money to dish out bothers me, and many others.

People may be afraid of change, that's true. But not all change is for the better. People are not concerned about the box or event as a whole. But the attainability of the medals. I honestly believe that those medals should be obtainable free in-game and not through NX regardless Reboot or Non-Reboot.

Matesword = Mates came from the pencil "Paper Mate" + word came from what you generally write with them. I'm assuming I added an s for the meaning of "Mates" as in a group of people. However everyone assumes it's Mate-sword, so I just kept me leash from arguing on it's creation. How it became a Fire/Poison Mage and not a Warrior (since Pirates never existed) remains a mystery.

Its2Sharp4U = I'm pretty darn sure this was self explanatory. Originally came from Dual Blades and you have two sharp weapons, a Dagger and Katara. I have another character made before this named Itis2Sharp4U but I quit that world. I didn't expect to become so strong as of today, but I'm not the best.

What destroyed the game wasn't the mechanics themselves but how it played out altogether.

Potential and Big Bang brought an ease to gaining power and levels easier. However due to the access of Cash Shop with Miracle Cubes, EXP Coupons, etc. that is what ruined the game. The paying advantage seemingly became wider and wider throughout each update to no end.

The current problem with today's game is that each individual content doesn't offer anything truly new or more to help out gearing up for the next content. A good example is Root Abyss and Gollux. Being equipped with a scrolled Root Abyss Gear and fully scrolled Gollux isn't going to help you out with the hardest modes. Potential is one of the biggest game-breakers when it comes to if you're able to beat it or not.

5th Job has the same story. If you're not properly equipped with scrolled or potential you can forget about it. There's no middle ground for MapleStory and you'll have to grind out in content or pay up whatever method possible.
