I'm sure people who have raised enough jobs can agree that some double jump jobs can jump and use skill smoothly with no hiccup, while others feel very stiff while doing jump + attack (i.e WA and Kaiser). And sometimes the jump key gets ignored and you have to press it again. This is all due to action delay of skills, during which jump key is unresponsive. Jobs that feel stiff while doing jump+skill have either long action delay that lasts even after you landed or jump too short for your skill action to be finished before you land (adv warriors). Jobs that can jump+attack smoothly have either short action delay that ends before you land or jump long enough to end the action delay before you land. I just don't understand why not all double jump jobs are like this. It won't affect a jobs' performance in mobbing or bossing. It will simply make the gameplay smoother, which results in overall better experience. For jobs with separate bossing and mobbing skills, just shorten action delay of their mobbing skills, and for jobs with combined bossing and mobbing skills, give them slightly longer jump so that action delay can be finished by the time you land.
I don't get it. Devs made exp buffs stay even when you get off so that you don't lose exp buffs even if you dc. But for some dumb @ss reason, they didn't think "hmm we should probably make all the other buff this way so that valuable buffs (horntail buff, legion buff, guild buff, mvp buff, extreme red, and etc) doesn't get deleted as well when people get dced." Why are they half assing this? You know your game crashes like mofo and servers are powered by potatoes. Why won't you make other power up buffs stay even when you get off of your character when you did it for exp buffs?

I'm coming back to Maplestory again and didn't want to go back to reboot, I want to be able to trade, and fund low level characters again. I've noticed that there are botters/hackers everywhere, All the theme dungeons I've gone to have been filled with them, jump around to different channels and 70% of them are occupied by them. I went to spiders and after some hopping found an empty channel long enough to find one familiar card before a hacker started sucking all the mobs and stole my map. I'm not working my way through Temple of Time and I keep seeing them blinking around, though these ones don't seem to attack while other players are around.
Is this normal or is it just aggravated by the Tera burning event? Would switching over to one of the other "normal" servers be an option here or is it just as bad on them?
Yes, it's normal. It has always been normal, and will stay normal into the future.
I've been posting the same thing about these botters for a long time but GMs do not really care.
those botters had trashed a lot of items' value in past couple weeks yet no penalty or anything is given.
GMs don't care because those botters fill up the server and make it look like a lot of people are playing the game but in reality only or even less than 10% of the population are the actual players and rest are all botters.
Just yesterday i created pathfinder and there were tons of bots even from the very beginning of the game. too many that i can't report each individuals. There are maps where all 20 channels are filled with botters and no burning field is left 24/7 and well what can i say? bad maintenance = ruined game
No they've been trashing everything for years. That's why meso economy of GMS is fked beyond repair. They do get "penalty" of getting banned (as seen by ban list) but that doesn't do jack crap to hurt botters. They can simply make a new account, start their bot program and sit back. GMs will tell you to report and that your reporting is very important, but it really isn't. You can report, the reported botter can get banned, but at the end of the day, it doesn't do anything to bring down the bot numbers. So yeah, bad maintenance.
I'm in America and I gave up on dawn warrior at 220 for being wayyyyy to fkin ping reliant. On a very rare days when server is stable, you'll be able to play the character just fine. On regular basis, however, the ping latency will F up your gameplay. Equinox cycle which brings out the full dmg of dawn warrior by alternating between sun and moon phase will lag like **** and won't switch between 2 phases smoothly. It will stay on the same phase when it's suppose to switch and it will crap on your dmg cycle to the point where you can't really use bossing skills during bossing. My advice: Don't play dawn warrior
