Try to cc after you used a boss queue when fighting horntail, chances is that this occur when too many people are fighting horntail at the same time in the same ch.

I was bossing and it started to happen a few weeks before I posted and still not resolved. I had no clue what was causing it. Had no latency that time.
Stop using Vengeance, and you will stop dcing if you have the unique/legendary tier potential line "% chance to ignore % damage" on any of your equipment.

Another solution I read somewhere on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Maplestory/comments/59snj0/lag_fix_for_anyone_lagging/d9b2lri/) is to wait at the server selection screen for a while and log in when the lag disappear.
