Have you gotten through the parts where he gets duped into doing some work for the black wings? I don't remember specifically what point you get the alliance passive+medal, but I know it was past that point.

Also, insofar as the point of "oh zero's weapon scrolls don't work on reboot": potential scrolls work just fine on reboot.

And, realistically, if the "400 weapon points and 100k mesos to reroll zero's weapon potential" is so game-breakingly bad or whatever, just increase the meso cost to a few million or so. And, again, the weapon-points potential rerolling only goes up to unique, so people would still be beholden to meso farming and buying cubes to get to legendary, so it's a moot point as far as I"m concerned.

I remember hearing about that in the time leading up to the "tune up" patch last year. That someone of a high decision-making position on the game in Korea(director maybe, unsure) felt that the game allowed players to progress too quickly, and that the best way to handle people progressing too quickly was to kneecap and hamstring people who already put in the work.

The drop rate potential nerf, the negative changes to vanishing journey(lowering exp from mobs, removing drops from lantern erdas), it was all because this chucklehead thought players were going too fast. So, rather than adding meaningful, engaging content that legitimately took a significant investment of time, it was decided to simply make it harder for more people to get to that point, since meaningful content takes actual effort as opposed to just cutting a percentage off exp values.
