First of all, it's nice to meet you and I'm happy you are joining as the CM! I wish you good luck!

During recent months, the game included a lot crash issues on logging in to the game/changing channels.
I'm glad to annouce that finally for the first time since v1.83 (current) update, the main crash/disconnection issue was fully resolved!!
This is the greatest fix done after a long period of time of crashes!
I have two different PCs and the game no longer crashes while playing in EACH of them!

I have read about the decision to to end the Direct Launch support.
As a player who prefers to use it (and it works great now, even with no crash issues),
a worrying things regarding the discontinuing of this feature is that it will be harder for player to switch between regions/accounts for those who own more than one account to play or who wish to switch between regions (from Europe to North America or vice versa) without the need to restart the game client for each switching.

Here is a request to better the filter chat system so that the text's writer will receive the the filtered result: A better Maple: Filter chat for the text's writer.

Another request and wish that I prefered which was included in Europe MapleStory by Nexon Europe is Return to Chracater Selection Screen, which it brings the player to the character selection screen immediately using the same world and channel used before the switching request. It's actually a request to improve the Change Character button's functionality.

For those who is not familier with this feature - it's a button in the menu above the Quit button which enables to skip the login screen/world selection screen and it moves instantly into the character selection screen using the last same world and channel you used to be logged in with your character, greatly useful for switching between different characters quickly and smoothly/relogging in quickly.

Special thank you for your contribution to the game and community!

Please enable the player to see by himself/herself the result of his/her chatting text messages with the censored parts (a message to be shown with the *** instead of the characters which were censored). This will help the owner to put attention and rewrite the message so that it will be readable to the audience who receive and see the filtered result in cases some pieces were censored (like *** or he* ***re).
This was available like that in the original EMS. It is available in MapleSEA, too.

Same for me.
Sadly, Nexon team tries to provide with possible solutions which nothing resolves the game client crash issues.

They should provide with more details like this but I'm afraid they refuse to do so...

Please put attention to the following carefully!!

Change channel will occour on second time click only - after picking up a new item dropped by a monster, by me or by another player in game.
If you don't pick up any items, then the issue will not occour!

Update as of 09.12.2016:
Additionally, dropping any item or mesos by myself but not picking up any of my own dropped items back will produce that issue, too.
Also, using a pet to pick up items dropped by monster will produce that issue, too.

Update as of 13.12.2016:
In conclusion, change channel will occour on second time click only when last action done prior the change channel request was one of the following:
- After picking up an item dropped by a monster.
- After picking up an item drooped by another player in game.
- After using a pet to pick up items dropped by monsters.
- After dropping an item or mesos by myself but without picking up any of my own dropped items back.
However, if your last action before attempting to change the channel was one of the following, then the change channel will be done properly on first click:
- After picking up mesos or an item dropped by myself only.
- After summoning or hiding a pet.

Update as of 05.08.2017:
- It is possible that the issue will persist when picking up any mesos or item which I own or not.

Please note that this is NOT a game latency issue, as is shown in my video below!

This doesn't matter how long time has passed between the time you have done your last action and the time you try to change a channel. The result will be always the same, regularly.

Here is a preview of the situation I would like tp explain - dropping my mesos but not picking it up - one of the triggers explained above.
Please put attention that when I try to change to channel 8, this is actually doesn't happen. You may repeat these steps by yourself to verify it.

Here are some steps I have done to reproduce the change channel issue:




This bug is also known as "Channels are not changed for the first click!":
"Recently, when I play and I would like to change channels into the game it's not always do it immediately for the first time I click to choose a new channel. It only changes it after the second time".
This was posted here but the issue has been resolved under the EMS service long time ago.
