MapleStory Community Meet Up - Applications CLOSED
Howdy, Maplers!
We're nearing that exciting part of the year and there's a lot of new upcoming content that we want to share with everyone. However, with so many Maplers spread around the world and us being located in Southern California, we've kept a large portion of our interactions with Maplers behind the screen. Due to this, we wanted to open up an opportunity that's more personal and memorable to those who can attend.
Come hang out with the MapleStory team, community guest stars, and various talents for this special occasion!

- The event will be taking place on:
November 17, 2017 (Optional November 18th event as well!)
- The event will take place at:
El Segundo, CA
- Participants must be 18 years or over to apply
- The sole responsibility in regards to transportation and arriving at the venue is on each participant (try not to be late!!!)
- Additional information and details of the event schedule will be provided to applicants that are selected
- Applicants that are selected will be added onto our guest list. All individuals who aren't on the guest list, but show an appearance at the venue will be escorted out.

I live in New York and my folks don't have time nor can they afford a roundtrip plane ticket to send me to California.
At least you live in USA let alone North America

Don't worry i'm 18, and never been on an airplane nor a train/subway, and i'm not from the US as well.

Will the invitees be allowed to write down or even videotape the bolded events, and disseminate the information to the rest of the community?

In my experience from last time, no. There was a small NDA that prevented us from talking about content until it had been officially announced, most likely to prevent people from announcing features that weren't working and had to be retconned and such. Makes sense, considering I personally mistook one NPC for another while I was there and got super excited for an event that never came. Video tapes would be especially discouraged if that's true, however they did follow us around with a video camera of their own all day, so there's that.
I don't know if they're doing anything different this year, though in my personal opinion I don't think you'll be able to video-tape yourself to share, at least not in the way I think you're talking about.
You should be able to take pictures, though, as long as you're not doing something ridiculous like spying on one of the computer screens or snapping pictures of someone who doesn't want to be photographed.
In short, I would assume it's the same rules we had during Tespia, more or less for the same reasons. I can't confirm that officially, but that's the safest thing to assume.
That's why I bolded only the Q&A and Open Discussion bits, not the "playthrough of upcoming content" (I'd also thank you to delete the first two of my near-duplicate posts. The third one is how I wanted it. I still can't edit my posts). Assuming they actually Answer any Questions and do real Open (transparent and communicative) Discussion, that is.
Video taping from each participant will be allowed if asked first and depending on the content that's being recorded. We are planning on releasing a number of videos capturing the event and specific portions of the event. We will be releasing a video on the ones you've bolded onto our official channels.
We're actually bringing over some special guests for the sole purpose of sharing their experience and discussing the topics we cover with the community!

Also, please don't be discouraged if you weren't selected for this event.
We do plan on having more of these in the future and we want to give more chances to meet new faces!
Next time you should pay the winners for the trip to different states. I mean I live on the East Coast and would love it one day to see the company one day!
