In my experience gear seems to round up. So fighting level 90> stuff will give you level 100 gear. Try fighting some level 85-90 enemies.
Edit:Looking into it myself, it seems that … (more)level 90 gear is a bit hard to find as you said. No level 80-100 mobs seemed to drop it.
I even went to future maps because I remembered that they used to drop low level gear for some reason, but it seems that has since been fixed.
I checked the overseas content as well but it seems to drop low level common gear. (Good place to get work gloves.)
It's possible that Nexon accidentally replaced all the drop tables for it when they fixed high level areas dropping low level gear. (less)
MapleStory is more popular now than it has been in the past several years, Nexon has also vowed in stockholder meetings to make the global/US market a more viable one for them. As well as … (more)Korea recently said that they plan on MapleStory being something that can be played for the next 40 years or something. MS isn't going anywhere soon. (less)
Party play actually becomes almost worthwhile even if the other players are AFK at a full party. The one playing killing earns almost all of the EXP back (assuming there are 3 bishops) and … (more)nobody else is killing anything.
Aside from Monster Park Extreme, which somewhat fixes this problem at the 260+ range, I think a good solution is to increase the bonus to around the 4/5 members point, where it's still not worth it, but almost worth it, so that when you're at 3~6 members it's actually faster. On Nexon's side I think the real issue here though is that bots will abuse this. So I doubt they'll allow it.
As I have said in the past though, I don't think players should be punished for what cheaters are doing. (less)
This suggestion is extremely flawed and it would hurt to try.
Say hello to hackers giving themselves perfect potentials.
This is absolutely something that has to be server sided.
… (more)Anything that doesn't run server-sided is exposed to hackers on the client side.
This is why hackers can do full map attacks or increase attack speed and such, because they can tell the game they're doing just that.
When the server asks "So what happened?" Their client just responds with a happy "I hit everything."
The same thing would happen with cubes.
Your client would roll the new stats and the server would ask "What did you get?" To which a hacked client would just say "I got 3L Prime." (less)
