Dude they mentioned it on the note, DUE TO LEGAL REASONS WE ARE NOW OBLIED TO ADD A TAX, wtf do u want to tell u? The exact law and all that ? Just search it for urself, dont expect to be given everything in life , do a SMALL effort and search it ffs...
Hey now, quite the over reaction there. It should not be my responsibility to be informed of the entire process that led to this decision. Yes, they mentioned legal reasons, except if you think about it for a second longer, "legal reasons" could mean any number of thing. It should fall on the company to inform their customers of change, and reasons behind changes. I have said it repeatedly, I am only asking for this situation to be made as clear as possible. If you have an issue with that, deal with it. This is something that affects maplers heavily, and I'm treating it as such. About 95% of that web post was explaining what was happening, not why it was happening. And I would love to hear their reasoning for their strange methods of taxing the Karma cards. As Kradian said, the exchange of money is happening when you buy the karma card, not when you redeem the code.
Honestly, it's incredible that people managed to turn this into a negative thing. They still gave out those medals dedicated to each server (EX: Chaos Pride), so you'll still have something to remember them by. But this is such an important change. Dead servers have been relying on botters to have a functioning economy, and with the several ban waves we've had recently, this hasn't been working. Who the flip cares about names when we're finally getting the world merge we've been asking for. Your commentary on the criminal justice system is completely out of place honestly, you're actually realistically expecting Nexon to accommodate those who are currently in prison? Get real.
Aggra put it very concisely, there's not any benefit of having characters on more than one world in a server alliance, you're not really losing anything, and it definitely shouldn't be a reason as to why a server merge shouldn't happen. This is a change for the better.
After playing Illium I think he could be a lot more polished. There's so much micro management, most of which frankly just isn't fair in reference to the bless marks. I think Illium has so much more potential than what he has right now.
The umbra marks should be inflicted on more than just the Reaction: Domination skill, and the Glory Wings skill.
The reaction skills should have a 4th job enhancement. There should be 3 attacks on Reaction: Destruction, and a boost to both range and damage increase on Reaction: Domination in 4th job.
The bless marks should have a much longer duration, and shouldn't go down when you're hit. It's impossible to upkeep the stacks unless you constantly spam Craft: Orb.
The crystals skills should activate every time their milestone is hit. EX Vortex of light is usable at 30, 60, 90, etc. Harmony link at 60, 120.
Fast Charge should have a cd of 60 seconds, and the added effect of instantly giving 30 stacks.
Crystal charge mastery at third job should increase the stack given by reactions: Javelin increased to 2, Orb to 3.
4th job charge mastery should increase the stack of Javelin to 3, orb to 4, and Longinus by 5.
Glory wings' javelin should also bounce off of enemies, and your orb.
The duration of both Ex and Machina should be increased.
Allow the player to move the orb while reaction skills are occurring. When moving the orb during a reaction skill, the reaction will remain in the place the orb was originally.
Increase Celestial Protection's duration to 10 seconds, and remove the duration's dependence on the number of Bless marks.
Probably more of a bug, but allow players to fly diagonally upwards to the right. (Currently you can only go right or up, but not at the same time. But you can when flying to the left)
It was definitely a great story, most of my guildmates think the same way.
The only thing that I didn't exactly like was that the drop rate for some of the quests was super low for not much reason, same way with some of the spawn rates the monsters had.
But I loved that we finally got some more lore on what was an otherwise information-less part of the story. If I had to rank the stories, I would rank Winter Bard first, White mage second, Empress in training third, and the Black Witch last.
How is it a con if "Wilder" has high magic attack, but low physical attack? That's how all magicians are. The link skill and legion card are completely broken as well. The focuses of your class is honestly just strange. MP regen will only be so useful, and most classes don't have hp regen, so I fail to see how that's a con. Case in point: the pro and cons don't really tell us much about the class, and half of them focus on things that classes aren't defined by. Also, with as many mobbing classes we've been getting, and have yet to get, it'd be nice to see some bossing oriented stuff. And as Petalmagic said, the corruption theme has been used a bit lately.
That said, I'd be interested to see if you fleshed the idea out a little more, especially with the skills. I'm not being critical to be mean, please don't misunderstand, I just get into class ideas if you can't tell.
Just a suggestion: I'd move away from Wilder being cursed by the black mage, and focus on what sort of mage he was before hand. There hasn't been a mage with a claw weapon, utilize that original idea and perhaps come up with some fun close combat magic. What kind of magic would he use? Elemental? Light or dark? Or something else?
