The system of enemies being stronger in Reboot but giving more exp than in regular worlds, was a major aspect of what made Reboot unique. It's really sad to see that every single aspect of the game will now be changed whenever KMS makes any change, no matter if it should be implemented to Global too as well. GMS is already balanced differently than the other regions, in fact GMS is probably the best version of Maple to have that system in Reboot, because we have access to a lot of things that completely change the balance of the game, so we can become strong enough for the Reboot mobs hp to be considered reasonable.
What does Reboot really offer over other servers with the removal of the enemies being rebalanced for the Reboot world? What just instead of bonus potentials you get the Reboot buff? That's it right? So for the most part with this change Reboot will basically just be a worse version of the regular worlds, because not only is regular trading disabled, you can't even share equips between your characters that can be shared in regular worlds. Honestly Reboot should be able to put more things in the bank at this point, the current endgame items aren't tradable anyway, so there's no point not being able to trade the items that were endgame when Reboot was first added to the game.
People already have been farming for those items for years, there's not really a reason those old items can't be shared within account in Reboot now. And it would be better for items that could only be obtainable during one event for people that have them to at least be able to use them on more than one character.
I was already disappointed by the huge changes we already received to make GMS in-line with KMS, but this is just ridiculous. We did kind of expect this to happen, but we hoped someone would say something about how it's not a good idea. What next are you going to make the weapon attack speed the same as KMS, even though that would completely change how almost every class that doesn't use hurricane style skills work?
Bruh what? Who complained about them adding content? The only thing even close to people complaining about that is still about them removing content, because they added FOMO content that rewarded permanent items that are no longer obtainable, but people still have, especially items that nothing that serves the same function exists to replace it. Like the Stellar Detective rings, there's no rings that offer those buffs, the closest is some 5th job skills, but that only means that people that have both a ring and 5th job skill with a similar effect just get to use it twice as often.
And then there's badges like the ghost ship exorcist badge, which was (and I believe still is) the only badge you can put a potential on. Which is a pretty significant damage loss. And then there's also the LAB server legion blocks which were free legion blocks that cost no slots that cannot be obtained anymore.
Even skill changes being reverted to the KMS version is removing content, because they made unique versions of some classes with the GMS playerbase in mind, but reverting them to the KMS version removed the GMS version of the classes.
And it's a very reasonable response to not want content that does in fact serve a purpose to be removed. Old event data that will never be reused, is perfectly fine to be removed because it's just bloating the files though, but if they offered items that served a purpose that is not being replicated by other items, then events that offer the same option or replace them (in-case it's like legion blocks, adding another block that does the same thing and stacks, would not change anything, it would just shift the goalpost up).
Idk why I bothered to respond though, I'm sure you know all this, you're just being a contrarian to try to call people spoiled for wanting content to not be removed, and not have people be alienated by things like oh I don't know an entire class that some people mained being removed?
I don't even like what they did to Jett since the previous version of them that had the FMA with 0 CD, which now has a cooldown. But this is absolutely ridiculous to remove a class because you're too lazy to fix bugs. I'm glad I stopped playing Maple for a while, because this would have made me quit, and I don't even play Jett. Removing classes is absolutely insane, and should not EVER be done. And yes, what about Kanna Hayato and Beast Tamer? Are they safe, or can this happen to them as well?
Beast Tamer has had bugs during a lot of times their creation was reopened, so it feels like Beast Tamer is the next candidate for a class that will be removed. I absolutely do not want that to happen, I'm just worried that it will, given the precedent this sets.
More and more things that made global unique are getting removed, and this by far takes the cake. Some of it was brought back, and Luminous happened to get changes that made them similar to the original version of Luminous we had, but if it wasn't for that the unique balancing Global had for Luminous (including the longer teleport) would have been permanently gone from Maple. As well as some global specific other content was closed for the longest time, with some things returning, while others didn't.
Didn't read everything, but most burning events do allow you to burn existing characters at lower levels than this burning event does. The hyper burning event can be used on both new characters and existing level 200 characters too though. This limitation is because this burning event is all the way to level 250.
